You play Spirit. One of the most braindead and broken killers in the game. Of course you are not gonna get bothered by DS.

Tunneling is patrolling a hook waiting for a survivor to be rescued and then immediately going after the unhooked survivor when they are rescued. DS can trigger regardless of what the killer does in that time frame from when they are on the hook, no matter how many people he chases or hooks. When that survivor is unhooked they get 60 seconds of immunity from being caught again even if they purposely let the killer catch them or they can also indirectly force the DS on the killer by getting into a locker not allowing the killer to slug them. I can tell you many many times I was hit by DS after hooking another survivor which is specifically how the perk isn't meant to be used.

We need more perks based upon "The Imaginary Ruleset."

Even if it doesn't just work for anti-tunneling it's just fine.
The person is using an entire perk slot (which is a bigger deal for survivors moreso than killers because the opportunity cost is higher) for a one-use perk that they might not even be able to use. I doubt anyone complaining about it have even tried using it as survivor. The amount of times that:
- the killer plays around it and slugs you
- the killer eats the stun and catches you afterwards anyway
- it runs out just as the killer gets to you
Is pretty damn high.
It's working as intended, has its clear uses and weaknesses and is nowhere near as opressive as MoM. In fact, I still think about it very hard before equipping it, since there's boosted MoM and Adrenaline which are the most meta survivor perks atm, then you probably want an exhaustion perk for chases and DS has to compete with many other perks for a situational fourth slot.
The amount of counterplay to this perk is pretty absurd, and those who complain about it are simply refusing to adapt.
And outside of late game scenarios, unless the survivor us shamelessly running toward you (which screams I HAVE DS) or someone unhooks them unsafely (which not only screams I HAVE DS but also MY RESCUER HAS BORROWED TIME so you should be going for them instead) you shouldn't be getting hit by it. A competent killer's life is generally too busy for that to happen unless it's one of the scenarios above.

How is it OP? it punishes the killer for tunneling, a big mistake. If you tunnel through ds you 100% deserve to lose, you can also slug and stil lgain the same pressure as if they were on the hook. Try to adapt instead of whining and you might get better at the game.

I think the timer should pause in chase, outplaying the killer should not be a counter to DS imo. Also it is pretty tilting when it runs out as you get picked up lmao

Fair enough, I agree that If you assume they have it (and its easy to tell because they tend to play like morons with it) and just slug both without picking them up. You completely mess them up and probably win the game.
I just personally think DS shouldn't encourage lame play by the killer that's unfun for everyone involved and should be changed so that killers wont be punished for playing fairly and not tunneling.

I agree with this. If you ask me DS stun could be 10 seconds all that I care, but it feels stupid when you hook other person and the person that was hooked before acts bit dumb and hops into locker and you crab them only to get DS'ed.

@Poweas The only people who think Spirit is braindead easy are people that have never played her and don’t understand how she works. A killer that tracks based on sound and grass moving by using their ears more so than their eyes isn’t braindead. You can’t pick her up over night and expect to win every single time.
At this point I can play Spirit easily but I’ve put so many hours into her.
The only killer I’ll argue that is braindead easy to play is Billy.

I use MYC on Spirit in my main build and I'm pretty sure that the husk does not count, the perk only relies on you being 32m away.
MYC is excellent on Spirit because it helps both in a chase and as a way to slow the game. Spirit is already super strong in a chase, so getting a one shot on someone makes her that much better. And even if you don't find the guy, since you are Spirit and can pop up almost anywhere at anytime it forces survivors to be immersed for 60s and not take any risks. That means they likely won't go do a gen, and if they hear or see you they will hide which is wasted time for them. Also, it discourages survivors from healing at the hook, so you end up with a bunch of injured survivors after a while because people are scared to heal you right away.

@Poweas If that happens, the unhooker has yolo saved without Borrowed Time.
And you could say that the condition for deactivating DS (before 60 seconds are over) are downing + hooking another surv before the DS user gets downed.

@thesuicidefox MYC is amazing Spirit. I think MYC is more useful on Hag and Nurse but it is very useful on Spirit as well. I ran it for a while but I typically don’t make my way back to the hook unless I can’t find another survivor or the survivors are super altruistic. I swapped MYC for Surveillance. I wouldn’t definitely recommend Surveillance for a Spirit build.
I also ran Brutal Strength for a while as well but it isn’t that great on Spirit due to the fact that if they are trying to flashlight blind you through a pallet it’ll never work on Spirit regardless if you have BS or not. Spirit cannot be blinded while breaking a pallet. I’ve had so many DC’s because I’ve downed survivors after an unsuccessful flashlight blind followed by me shaking my head at them XD.

The thing about MYC on Spirit is that it is the overall best one shot perk for her.
Haunted Ground is on a timer and it often goes wasted if it gets done while you chase the first survivor, who will generally already be injured.
NOED is strong but is IMO a lame perk to use and can also be removed from the game by survivors.
Devour Hope is in a similar spot as NOED, but even more likely to be removed from the game.
Rancor only works on the obsession at the end of the game.
MYC can't ever be taken away from you. The only counter is to basically make an unsafe rescue. You can also use it to your advantage, as I have had instances where I hook someone out in the open and sort of camp from a distance, using my phase walk to get the MYC guy when the save happens.
IDK about Brutal Strength, but Lightborn is actually pretty nice for her. One counter to the stand still mind game is to flashlight her, since it either 1) blinds her and blocks her use of phase walk, or 2) reveals that she is actually phase walking because you can't blind the husk. Lightborn lets you sponge that and phase walk after them, the beam will still shrink making them think you are standing still when really you stood still for a moment then phase walked over.

Complaints against MoM and the old DS I always understood and sympathized with.
If any killer player is constantly finding the new DS an issue then that means they are constantly tunneling. Zero sympathy or understanding towards their plight in that case.

Or they just mindlessly pick up everyone they down right away.
When I get DS'd I don't get mad I say "oh I hooked this guy less then 60s ago". Then I either let them go, or if I'm Spirit just eat it, chase them, and down them again 10s later.

They activate Deliverance and run away
Get downed in near exit gate and gate are open
If i don't grab em, they escape with baby walk (also 60 sec is enough to escape)
If i grab em, DS activate and tbag me
I mean what the f- else i'm gonna suppose to do when this situation happen again?
And don't shove your nosehole with your finger and yell me this still count as stupid tunnel when there's only 1 survivor are remain

@MegMain98 how is Surveillance? I've found it to be the perfect replacement for Ruin. You can generate a lot of pressure from it because the survivors know you're always going to be able to keep an eye on them.

I do well, but most my games go to 1 gen and I snowball from the Surveillance. I don't run Ruin though (when I do it's a 4k 4/3 gens every game and it gets boring) but still I'm not as good as you. I can happily admit that.
I bet you'd stomp me in a battle of skill tbh. Also, Billy isn't braindead, I've been maining him, curving takes a lot of skill it's difficult to control it. I've got it about 20% of the way. So I'm learning him faster than I do with Spirit (only mastered 30% of her and I've played her since December 2018).
But he's not braindead, he's actually quite good. Not Hag tier, but quite solid. I will admit though, I've been getting stomped and went from rank 3 to 5 :P

@DingDongs if one survivor remains, slug them for 10 seconds, then hook them, it won't let them Deliverance because it instakills them. Such an easy solution, anyone can see that.
Or just hook them during the game .------. It's that simple.

@Poweas Surveillance is really good against immersed survivors because once you’ve kicked the generator and are starting to walk away, they’ll tap it or start working on it again and you can phase over to them and grab them off the generator.
I don’t need Ruin as Spirit but I use it due to the fact that I can be pretty blind at times especially to Claudette players. They will lick every single wall they can find. I can’t waste time trying to find immersed survivors when three gens are gonna pop before I can even find somebody.
I snowball a lot with Spirit. I can down three survivors in about thirty seconds if they are too altruistic. Just last night a downed a Dwight and Meg got an unhook. I got within terror radius and phased and downed the guy she was healing. Needless to say it didn’t take but about ten seconds to down the Meg. This was all within the span of thirty to fourty-five seconds. Spirit is an amazing killer at snowballing.
Of course I have bad rounds but about 90% of my Spirit rounds end up with them not fixing the last generator. Same goes with Hag.
I’ve been playing as Spirit pretty much since her release...not trying to sound egotistical but I’m pretty damn amazing with her. If a player can follow sounds and have good headphones then anybody can do great with her. I honestly believe anybody can play her if they put enough time into learning her playstyle.
Billy is kinda map dependent. He can do good on any open map but when you get Lery’s or Yamaoka it becomes an issue. It’s just not hard to fly across the map and get on the back of a survivor and insta-down them. Maybe he isn’t “braindead” like a stated but it’s not hard to learn Billy. I just find him very boring to play as and play against.
