Dead by Daylight Movie?
So since you guys are getting really big. And seem to get connected to lots of movie studios (epsecially lionsgate) Is there any chance we might get a movie about some of the concepts of dead by daylight someday? :D
I remember a loooong time ago like year one streams, Mcote said if there was any movie studios out there willing to make a movie about dead by daylight you would be happy too! So maybe instead of waiting for it to happen go and contact them and see what they think? :)
I think it would be a huuuge success not only for dead by daylight fans, but horror fans in general, and hey! Then all your characters are suddenly licensed :P And would bring a TON of new people to the game aswell ;)

Sounds like a good idea, but for it to come to fruition, they need to craft a more solid lore. How would the movie end? What would the plot be? Are we just going to watch trial after trial until either the survivors give up or they somehow escape the entity? And if they do beat the entity, how? I'm not saying it's impossible, but it would be difficult due to how many characters there are and the fact that the current lore isn't solid enough to maintain a consistent plot for a film.

Gotta ask the real questions here. How much toxicity will be in the movie? How many killers will tunnel and facecamp while shaking theirs heads up and down hitting the survivor on hook? How many survivors will teabag and DC from the movie lol. Of course would be some DC killers as well.

Considering how close they are with Lionsgate, they seem the most likely candidate for making a DbD movie. With that said I'd prefer Blumehouse, A24, or Netflix to be the one to make the movie. Those three have been responsible for the majority of good horror films that have released in this decade of "horror renaissance."

Would be awesome but, don't really think so

The game has enough lore to make a solid film out of it.
It's just a matter of artistic capability.

All I'll care about is if my insidious legion build gets in.

Spend first part of the movie character building.
Show scenes of the 4 survivors with their family, eating, maybe one of them lives alone and is a junkie, etc. As the movie progresses, the 4 start to see things out of the corner of their eyes. Shadows flickering, crows following them. Make it super spooky and paranormally.
About half way through the movie, the survivors disappear. Show a few shots of their families talking to the police, etc. Cut to the trial. Odds are good that you'd want to use an iconic killer, my vote would be trapper.
Then its your traditional horror slasher flick. Survivors figure out the only way out is the pair of gates located on a sprawling abandoned estate surrounded by wrought iron fence. They get there and pull the release, only to find that the power doesn't work. You know the rest.
Some of them make it out, and get to return to the real world. The ones who die? Well, they're stuck in the entities realm to run it over and over and over.

The movie itself would need to acquire every single license in the game as well.
That task isn't very easy...

Not really, they can just feature the original killers.

Not really. Would just need to only use properties owned by bhvr. You wouldn't want to fit every killer/survivor from the game into the movie. You'd want:
Beginning - 4 survivors are characterized IRL
Middle - Survivors are kidnapped and dropped in a trial
End - Some survivors survive, some dont.

I have been pushing for these guys to make a tv show or movie, even going as far as to make my own cinematic universe. Unfortunately they haven’t come to me yet. Still, I’ll wait till the day comes along.

They could also just go the "bad videogame movie adaptation" route and twist the lore until it fits a movie's narrative.
But yeah, using only original killers might be better for the movie, afterall its THEIR movie and Trapper is the poster boy of the game.
They could add a scene similiar to that ending in "Cabin in the woods" possibly showing licensed stuff, as a little cameo. But the focus ashould be on the OC.
Trapper, HB and legion are similiar to jason, Bubba and ghostfaces anyways. Legion would possibly also be seen as a "the purge"-series parody.
I also agree to the movie structures presented here. But depending on the genre/mood the movie is trying to set, the first scene could also be a running trial dominated by the killer. A short stinger to show whats to come so to say... But it might take some plot twists away (showing hints of killer, a person who visibly dies is shown later in the movie alive again etc). Good thing its not us writing the script.
