The Pig Reverse Bear Trap & Jigsaw Box Revamp
Reverse Bear Trap & Jigsaw Box Revamp
As you know right now, the pig has a few issues
- The RBT are prone to RNG, either fortunate or unfortunate.
- Survivor knowledge of Puzzle Box locations
- Pressure.
I'm here to see if I can work around these problems without impacting the idea of the power in a negative way for either Survivor or Killer. The purpose is to keep the idea of "Playing a game with Jigsaw" up whilst being respectful towards the game play in a non intrusive way.
RBT & Jigsaw Box Notes:
- Reverse Bear Traps are still only triggered by Generators being completed.
- Reverse Bear Traps no longer activate after the last Generator has been completed.
- Survivors with inactivate RBT's that search Jigsaw Boxes will never receive a skillcheck.
- Survivors with active RBT's that search Jigsaw Boxes will receive a random number of skillchecks.
- Skillchecks on Jigsaw boxes have a slim chance to award the survivor instantly with a "Piece".
- 4+(N) Pieces are needed to complete the key.
- Once a key has been completed, the RBT comes off.
- The Timer on the RBT might need some readjustment.
- Jigsaw Boxes are no longer visible to survivors with inactivate traps. They become visible once the trap is activated.
- It is still possible to interact with Jigsaw boxes without seeing the Aura.
- The Pig no longer has default Aura view of all Jigsaw Boxes.
- The Pig is still notified of missed skillchecks on Jigsaw Boxes.
The idea of this change is that currently RNG can take the RBT off instantly. To apply pressure to survivors, they need to spend more time on boxes. By spending more time on boxes, they won't be on generators. And by removing the fact that a survivor could get their RBT off first try without it being activated, there is more time wasted versus being lucky after the RBT has been activated.
I think this might be a welcome change for most Pig players that haven't been too happy with some of the more annoying aspects of the RBT.
Your ideas and thoughts on this would be more than appreciated!
