Ghostface Possible Rework.

Ive seen the ptb and gameplay watching streamers playing and playing against Ghostface.

His ability is interesting but it seems recycled in the same way pig does the crouch and myers the evil within.

One of the iconic things for this killer was the "phone" he used to call the victims.

What im wishing is that maybe the "phone" can be utilized in a way to bring fun gameplay for the killer and the survivor alike.

First the crouching animation doesnt need to be removed, but used as a startup animation and change in m/s for Ghostface.

Now this is where the phone comes in. During the crouch animation Ghostface can make phone calls to all survivors. If a survivor is within a certain range, there phone rings/beeps. A visual and sound notification is given to Ghostface. The survivor unlucky enough to recieve said phone calls gets the iconic "Do you like scary movies" quote. "Side note"- if the license is impossible for behavior to aquire this can be easily swapped with whatever random noise or dial tone that they see fit.

During the call the survivor can attempt to hang up or end the call. Similar to the operator ability in Rainbow Six Siege for comparison. This call can be ended with a skill check or maybe a timer whichever the developers decide to add to this powers deactivation. During this call the survivor is slowed or exposed depending on addons used by Ghostface. All this could be tweaked as this is all just a possible idea/rework

I'd really like the developers and staff of Behavior to take a look at this and consider this as a rework in the future for Ghostface.

Good luck in the fog everyone.

License-holders can be tetchy, particularly when there's some elements not entirely owned by them. I'm not talking about the Ghostface license here. I'm talking about the separate Scream license, which BHVR doesn't have. Scream license doesn't own the Ghostface itself... but it DOES own the elements they added to it. And that includes the 'phoning survivors' element. If they see a game with Ghostface, they can't do anything about it. Even Ghostface sneaking around murdering people is different and generic enough. But once you give Ghostface a phone and let him start using it like they do in the Scream movies, then Scream has a potential case if they want to go to court and say, "Hey, these guys aren't just capitalizing on Ghostface's license, they're capitalizing on OUR IP without paying us."

I suspect that's part of the reason they changed the cell phone mori to a camera.
