SaveFiles Question

Hello everyone, I have a question regarding game savefiles.
I'm visiting family overseas and I'm taking my laptop with me and I'd like to play DBD while I'm there.
The question is: Do I have to move the save files/characters from my PC to the laptop or there's some sort of cloud server now? Last time I lost progress I'd been told the savefiles are stored where the game is installed, but idk if that changed with the last updates.

I'd apreciate the help! :)

    There's cloud server now. I just changed my hdd to an ssd and my saves were there when i i reinstall everything. You should be fine ^^
