First Hooks

When a survivor gives up when they are hooked for the first time, I'll admit that if I'm the killer, I'll have a chuckle, but I find it sad that someone just gives up, and makes it harder for the rest of the team. What are your thoughts guys? What do you make of this?

It's kinda just a face palm moment, like, really? I will admit I'm sometimes tempted. Just earlier today, I pallet stunned a killer. 2 things happened. 1. They had enduring. 2. They for some reason got teleported to my side of the pallet. I literally got hit twice in less than two seconds. But I stuck it out and it ended up being a great game. And even if it hadn't been a great game, I would've gotten more for staying than giving up and resigning the rest of my team to their untimely defeat.

I know what you mean. Had a game as survivor earlier, the first two people caught gave up on their first book with 5 gens left still. I had to run the killer round the map for over 5 minutes while the other guy got 3 gens done.

For some reason when I play killer I’m always rooting for the survivors to win and when I see someone die on the first hook I’m like wow really you gonna do them dirty like that?! If I’m playing survivor and I see it I’m like well looks like it’s gonna be a hatch game. The only time I do it is if the last person is left and either the killer has BBQ and the last person is far I’ll kill myself so they can get hatch (if available) or if there is the last survivor and I’m in the basement I’m like welp GG and I’ll kill myself to give the person hatch. Now on the other hand if I see you camping out the hatch the whole game I’ll just chill on the hook

As a survivor I see it a ton.  Someone gets hooked and I chill at my generator or totem for a few seconds. First if the killer has BBQ I don't want him to see what direction I take off running and secondly to give the killer a moment to clear the area.  I think a lot of solo players see that as a welp they aren't coming and start to try the Kobe.  When I see that i want to scream stop it.  I guess I would rather see them do that than DC, but still to give up only adds pressure to me (and the other living survivors)

If you will chill on the hook a second I promise I will do my best to free you.

Stuff that. I would only DC if I started lagging badly mid match. And I had used a blood point offering, I AM GOING TO GET SOMETHING OUT OF IT. XD
