Expand the role of totems

Quick backstory, I run Small Game in SWF and play Killer 50% of the time without Hex Ruin (PS4).

I've seen a lot of Killers complaining Hex Ruin goes too quickly, and a portion of Survivors complain too many Killers are using Hex Ruin. I've also heard Behaviour is attempting to give Survivors more to do rather than the clique, rush gens. I feel there's already plenty to do but more could be put at stake by interacting with totems.

First, add a sixth totem. I absolutely hate No One Escapes Death, but I don't believe it should be removed either. I actively pursue totems with Small Game to root out the possibility of NOED. By adding another totem, this would make my role even more difficult and important. Add more Hex types. One could affect healing the same way Hex Ruin affects Gen progression. Add a defused Haunted Grounds type trapped totem. Each trapped totem affects the cleanser or team with hindered, or auras revealed, or blindness for a short time. Improve the animation of the cleansing. Since the process resets if interrupted, have the interaction with totems resemble unlocking a three dimensional puzzle, where skulls turn and the bones unfurl. Most importantly, keep all totems dull until the Hex is revealed, like NOED. If nobody has experienced a related skill check, the totem linked to the Hex should appear dull. Once the first related skill check randomly arrives, then that random linked totem illuminates. Add an illuminate animation. Link trapped totems illumination to resemble what is or isn't Hexed. If no Hex is active, the trapped totems should be dull. If a Hex is active and revealed, then the trapped totems illuminate simultaneously. I hope this makes totems play a bigger role, make the game more interesting and give Survivors more to do.

Love the idea however what if the totems are cleansed before a single perk is revealed? I know this would never happen however there is a possibility of it happening. Would love to see these changes implemented.
