Hex Totem Buff
The biggest weakness about hex totems is easily how visible they are to survivors. To fix this, I say cover all spots in which a totem can be with a pile of leaves or rubble. It blocks visibility of all totems on the map, and the way survivors can make the totems visible is by clearing the debris off of the spots. This action of cleaning the debris should only take about 2-3 seconds. If a totem gets revealed, the survivor can then proceed with the normal cleansing process. If not, then they must go search the other spots on the map to find totems.
On every map, there should be 15-20 leaf/rubble spots to clean. 5 of those spots should contain a totem. Also, the killer should still have a totem aura visible for their hex perks, even when the totem is covered by debris. This change would just be helpful in keeping totems a bit more hidden than they currently are.

This is an incredibly solid idea. Lately I feel no totems last longer than a minute, they are much too easy to find.

Sounds like a good idea. They are working on totem placements though, the totem placements of the new badham maps are mostly great. I hope they keep that up.

I completely agree with this!

There's already a Hex Buff it's called Thrill of the Hunt

I vouch for it even being a survivor main

A well balanced solution if you ask me:
We achieve a secondary objective (assuming each rubble pile cleansed awards BP), with the totems more difficult to locate.
How would small game effect this? I’m assuming there’ll be no difference, the survivor will just know which rubbles to cleanse, which is still fair in my book...it takes up a valuable perk spot after all.

or don't use hex perks, problem solved.

I actually like the idea. But devs didn't agree even with simple "all totems look like dull totems", what's less powerful.

uhh why not? or sure use them but don't complain when they get cleansed because you're the one who chose to use hex perk

Can the leafs also muffle the loud-ass candles on Hex Totems then?
It's kinda useless after all if you can just hear if one's a Hex Totem or not.

so you think a buff to a bad totem system is just using another perk slot? Can you please just leave?

How about no lolz, they already did totem placement changes and whatnot totems are not meant to be permanent but it seems like that's the end goal for you.

I was kinda skeptical of this at first but this would be a cool way to potentially add to the objective category, and I think it would make the use of totems as a killer more than a waste of a perk slot considering how easy they get found.

So suggesting mediocre Perks is only possible for Killers who talk to Survivors, but not vice-versa?
@Topic:
This is more time to waste instead of being optimal. Great.

There was a long thread about awesome changes to the game and this was one of them so YES, this should be a thing. @Peanits Has the team seen this yet?

Its a solid idea but always be careful about extra actions that might cause the game to dramatically slow down. Obviously it will slow everything down if you have for example 15 of those leaves first you would need to find em next to cleanse them and to hope to find a totem and cleanse it. The longer the games takes the chances become way less to actually escape. So even if I like that Idea I don't like the idea of having that many leaves that you just leave the totems aside and do gens. That would cause the killers to use even more hex totems and would make the perks that they are going to release within the next chapter useless since no one would use them anymore. Sorry for being skeptical but I think that would just happen.

No. Hex totems is a chance you take as the killer, its your job to protect said totems and if its found fast = your bad luck
If its not found at all = Survivors bad luck.

Its incredible how survivor mains are against it in this post like how much biased u can be lol btw very solid idea though I doubt it will ever make it live

Why would we like the idea? Like I said, hex perks is a chance you take, and if you dont think they fit your playstyle you can either adapt or find another playstyle OR post suggestions on the forums, as long as you are aware that people might disagree with you.

please dont talk until u have enough experience to start an argument u can literally spawn infront of a totem and killer has to play with 3 perks entire game play both sides then talk
