Object of Obsession needs a look at.

Seriously. This perk was implemented way back in the early stages of this game. The perk gives perfect information with little in terms of drawbacks. The only killers that can reliably take advantage of the drawback of being seen are Nurse, Spirit, and to a lesser extent Hillbilly.

The perk completely negates the powers of many. Wraith, Pig, Trapper, and Hag all suffer greatly from OoO. Hag is better off than the rest listed, but is still hindered greatly by this one perk.

The rest of the cast is mildly disjointed by it. Since most other killers don't have anything to close the distance as quick as needed, chases can become long and drawn out due to the amount of a head start that you can get when you recognize the killer is coming for you. This goes double for 110 killers like Huntress.

This perk requires you to be half-decent at survivor, so it's not like anyone can come pick it up and obliterate most of the cast. It's a design that hails from the time where infinite's existed and DS was affected on pickup for all survivors who equip it. It needs another look at. The aura reading should be entirely reworked. No single perk should have perfect aura-reading capabilities.

I'd like to hear your thoughts on if you think it needs to be changed and how you would rework it if you do think it needs a look at.

Cheers!

I find it incredibly annoying on certain builds that are all 2nd-chance perks.

BT + OoO + MoM + DH = Pure Cancer

Sure, it's a double-edged sword, but if you've got 3,000+ hours as survivor, you don't even mind that the killer sees you. You've mastered looping, so you hang around generators next to safe tiles.

You can use it to bait a killer into looping you around a safe tile. This guarantees that once you get hooked, your one hook is worth three generators. The killer isn't going to be making a comeback from that!

Not only that, it completely prevents a killer from herding you into a dead zone with no pallets. Ambushes are literally impossible unless you're playing T1 Myers, but in that scenario, you won't ever catch that survivor due to low movement speed.

There's also the fact that they buffed generator aura's so people can just work away all they want without a care and get a free aura reading all of the time, that of which completely outclasses Alert and Dark Sense.

Suprised no one mentioned the swf comm uav survivour effect. You can hug a powerful loop and feed information to your team on a killers approach throughout the map. If its stealth killer oh boy does it screw there strategy up. With practise you can recognise the distance a killer is and pinpoint there exact position on a map.

Throw on a tank build with a bt teamate and you have very few weaknesses. OoO is fine if you dont let swf get access to it which at that point shutsdown nearly all killers . Its fix is very simple this perk should be disabled in swf. If i had the hardware i would love to demonstrate its power but unfortunatly i leave it here maybe the community can expose this perks problems. Expect some twitch swfs groups to be running this combo.

If you use OoO you don't know which killer you'll find, and it can be nurse. So, if someone use it, there's a risk

Risk really isn't big. It destroys the ability of over half the roster to such a degree that it makes them either very hard to use or completely unusable. One perk shouldn't have that much power.

Your fears will last less than a week, then people will find Billy and regret their choice to use Object of Immediate Hook... I seldom see it in red/purple ranks, especially after DS ceased to be usable before the first hook. Many people remember it just because Ghost Face is arriving, but it's not a common perk, it's not META.

I'm not only concerned for ghostface, but for the rest of the roster. There are only two killers that truely benefit from OoO, that being spirit and Nurse. Billy isn't demolished by it, but he is still easily loopable. What's the issue is making Wraith, Trapper, Pig, Ghostface, leatherface, and even to some extent huntress absolutely abysmal to play with. OoO in itself is a design flaw that's never been touched since it's intoduction in 2016. It has not aged well with the meta. The only thing that will make OoO weak is a survivor's skill.
