Plz get rid of pallet looping devs or less pallets
only 1 person needs Tom kite the killer the whole match I it takes less than 5 mins for all gen’s one be done unless u have rune which is a must have at high ranks shouldn’t have to mine game to get a free hit there’s no a skill playing survivor at all plus 16 perks vs the killers 4 perks it’s not not fun at high rank for killers and killers should have an easy time not Survivors survivors

They're planning to make shorter loops at pallets and windows, so it will require more skills from survivors to mindgame a killer.
31 -
That’s how is it always always should of been
8 -
So, what options do you want survivors to have then? None? You're just after the easy 4 kill each match
37 -
Give survivors more LoS blockers and hiding options, then we can decrease the pallets. Survivors are pretty vulnerable when they run out of resources tbh! :)
24 -
Yeah pallets do need to be less especially at red ranks
5 -
Anything to vary the gameplay. 360s are really annoying to do on low sens and quite frankly I don't want to have to resort to using Ninja Claudette.
7 -
Boy I hope they'll be succesful. It's no fun to go against an insane amount of safe loops-
3 -
There is gonna be still some of safe pallets, but most of them will be about the mindgame.

It should be easy for killers and hard for you guys lol look at Friday they 13th Jason’s was op and that’s go how games like these should work look at death garden hunter is op as heck and can kill after he downs some one are leave them for being point im saying unfair for you guys but you guys should always be at a disadvantage not the killer
6 -
What are you talking about you guys have like 30 pallets per map window looping 16 perks vs the killers 4 perks you have a lot more resource than like killers lol
3 -
Well around half of that actually there is a min max allowed which is rng and no where near your numbers.
Each character also only has 4 perks this 16 myth is just made up to try and make a false argument in reality.
Looping while annoying is what the game has been slow designed around for around 2 years now, this is why more perks for tracking, aura and helping with loops came about, most of these would need reworked if looping went altogether.
originally people asked for more stealth play but again it's not what most actually wanted which is evident when they verse a ninja Claudette and complain.
All this shows is the players really don't know what they as mechanics but they do want to kill or to escape to be easier.

After personal experimentation (and mmuch salt) I have concluded that you just need leatherface, insidious, and a basement for easy 4ks.
5 -
If you want to get rid of Pallet Looping, there need to be WAY more Pallets to actually get some Distance from the Killer.
If you have 10 Pallets on a Map and Looping is possible, you cannot simply remove the ability to loop and keep those 10 Pallets there.
But I feel, if this would happen, people will simply not understand..

F13 and Deathgarden are very different beasts than DBD.
F13 doesn't have just 4 survivors in a trial (it can be, but usually it's many more), also you can escape by finishing your own objective (e.g. getting the boat ready, while others go for the car or call the police). You don't have just 1 main objective.
Deathgarden was reworked, and it's still being balanced.
30 Pallets per map? Sure. Sounds legit.
You are complaining about "16 Perks vs 4"? Does that mean that you want 16 Perks as a Killer to even out the resources? Sure. Why not? What could possibly go wrong when people in the DBD forum "balance" the game.
I'm always amazed (and not in a good way) about the things that are brought up by people that are new to this forum, but welcome anyway.

You’re saying that survivor takes no skill but saying you shouldn’t need mindgames? That is the most skillful part of killer.
4 -
What? Get rid of pallet loops? Now it’s not survival horror, now it’s hide and seek.
Killer: “I found you!”
Survivor: “Ok, ya got me. Free hook!”
There are typically maybe 4-5 really safe pallet loops a game, pursue that loop, eat the pallet so others can’t take you there. A killer claiming to get rid of pallet loops in red ranks seems to me like a killer that had no business being a red rank.
5 -
That's because stealth is not viable, and pallets are the only reliable way to stall the killer. If we have more stealth options, survivors will be able to use stealth AND pallets to stall the killer. That's when we can nerf pallets because we need to balance the stealth:pallet ratio, or else survivors will be able to stall the killer for ridiculous periods of time.

I been spending a lot of BP on him, I'm really excited for his rework! :)

Beat me to it.
So done with people just going "REMOVE THIS THING" without even proposing an alternative whatsoever, can't even be bothered to hide how much I feel it makes them seem like a salty crybaby anymore. "JUST STEALTH!" is probably the answer, which is cool and could be said to be implied, but at the same time no mention of making stuff like legion and doc not delete stealth in a lot of situatons.
But on topic, I don't see how they could "remove looping" unless people were forced to drop a pallet when running through it. People will try to get the most use possible out of even less safe and more mindgameable pallets, it's just common sense. They already said they wanted to make less loops as long and safe as they are now, and I would personally love more "tall" loops instead of mindless ones as actively trying to outsmart someone that's trying to outsmart you in a chase is the game at its best in my opinion.
5 -
Looping is part of DbD. Taking it away would make DbD a to different game.
10 -
Loopiing is what breaks the game in high rank most of your comments most of you play Survivor so of course you think it’s banned even know the devastation are made airings less makeing less loops and revamping maps its you crybaby Bullshit survivors that’s think pallet looping is ok flash light stun tvagging cause you are good at loopingthan you get salty for free am camping or tunneling forceing us to run basement builds and you say you don’t need a nerf lol
1 -
you mean it'll take less bloodlust to hit survivors
i'm very lukewarm about the imminent pallet change. they need to look at bloodlust if they want more short loops. right now short pallets are extremely unsafe to the point where they can't really be looped at all due to bloodlust
6 -
i mean, pallet loop and windows are the core of the game for survivors. If they get rid of them the game is dead and it will full of inmersed claudettes.
6 -
Don't forget there also getting rid of infinites which mean goodbye ironworks goodbye haddonfield top window and goodbye killer shack window
0 -
think about how boring it is to look for hiding survivors all game
i don't think any sane person wants that to be the entire game
9 -
Yeah, because killer shack is an infinite and you can't mindgame it at all ..........................
9 -
Your Claudette is super cute , tho :)
0 -
Get rid of the only thing survivors have to truly defend themselves from killers
5 -
thank you 😍 it's hard to believe people want to blend with her when she can look so adorable
3 -
I'm a killer main and even I'm gonna pass on this one, chief.
8 -
I am not looking forward to the pallet changes. Before I make any conclusions or anything, I'm gonna wait and see how it works, but I don't have a good feeling about it.
The current loops are already mindgameable and stuff, so why change it? Coldwind was recently changed so that Survs can't see through the wall. Every map now has LoS blockers on jungle gyms, and you can do mindgames that way. Of course, you can't do mindgames at open loops without any LoS blockers.
2 -
I mean you can mindgame Haddonfield easily too and it's only a good loop if you have balanced landing. Otherwise you MIGHT get 2 loops if that.
1 -
you can't mindgame haddonfield loops against a survivor who is paying attention because the loops are too long
if you get mindgamed on haddonfield, gg
1 -
Have you considered the possibility you aren't good?
6 -
I'm actually more concerned about the changes on the safety of pallets . I mean, we all know what is going to happen: every single killer is going to bloodlust those unsafe pallets until we get smacked .
7 -
I mean if I killer wants to wait 45 seconds to get BL3, he's only going to get like 2 hooks maximum. Before all the gens eventually get finished.
1 -
you don't need BL 3 to bloodlust unsafe pallets
either way, we shouldn't be directing the game towards less skillful play and more use of handholdy mechanics
6 -
I like chases as both survivor and killer. Looping is now a part of DbD and one of the major reasons why this game is so successful.
The problem is that chases take too long compared to how fast gens are done, and that makes the game unbalanced. There are 2 possible solutions:
1) Making chases shorter. Remove some pallets and windows. Not what I'd like to see at all.
2) Giving the killer more time. That can be achieved by increasing gen time (not exciting) or introducing a 2nd objective.
3 -
If the pallet is unsafe, you don't really need Bloodlust anyway. Wasting 15 seconds only to be forced to lose it anyway once you break the pallet if you miss is a pretty silly strategy.
0 -
it doesn't really matter if bloodlusting is efficient; it's boring and it sucks to play against, the same way playing against old legion was boring and sucked to go against. legion would down you no matter what you did, and bloodlust gets you downed no matter what you do at any loop that isn't explicitly safe like killer shack
and while you don't need bloodlust to outplay unsafe pallets, it is frequently used as a replacement for actual mindgaming, something that the removal of safe loops will only encourage if bloodlust is not looked at

The speed at which gens get done is what breaks the game.

Looping needs to go, running in circles like the Benny Hill show is simply idiotic for a horror game.
Survivors need to be slower than killers at base, but with the possibility of sprinting for a limited time based on their stamina. Their goal should be to either go to a safe pallet/window or try to lose the killer.
Chases should be short max 30-40 seconds, 1 minute if you are extremely good.
All pallets should be safe, like the ones in Badham basement or the ones close to the basement in the game. Same goes for windows, like many safe windows in Lery's.
You can use that window once, it is VERY safe but then you need to move around and find another safe spot.
A pallet should be the way to block the killer for some time while you run for your life. No looping should be allowed around pallets or windows.
Once looping is fixed we can start real balancing of gen speed, other objectives, killer powers etc
0 -
Survivors are slower than killers.
6 -
You haven't read the rest, they should have thr option of sprinting at a cost of their stamina. While sprinting they can outrun any killer, but them they need to slow down to regeneration their stamina
0 -
I read it all. I completely disagree with adding a stamina system.
8 -
this is maybe in the top 10 worst ideas for this game that i've read on a dbd forum, which is a prestigious achievement
6 -
I had no doubt, you said looping is based on skill so you obviously don't agree with the idea of makinrunning in circles less effective
0 -
looping is definitely skill-based; judging distances, judging lunge range, judging bloodlust, knowing when to leave a loop, etc.
if it wasn't skill based, some people wouldn't suck at it
