Now Enduring's been changed, can we change DS back to the 3-sec stun? Or another idea.
When Decisive Strike was reworked, its stun duration was three seconds. When old Enduring was thrown into the mix, Decisive Strike gave slightly less than a second of escape time to a Survivor. This effectively left Survivors within range for the Killer to immediately turn around, lunge at them, and put them straight back on the ground. So, BHVR buffed it to 5 seconds so Survivors had more time when a Killer had Enduring, to escape.
Now that Enduring has been changed to reduce pallet stun durations only, Decisive Strike should be changed back to the 3 seconds duration. When you change a perk that was affected by another perk too heavily, and then change the other perk so that it doesn't affect the first one, it only makes sense to change the first perk back.
If reverting DS is out of the question, then how about another change; Decisive Strike on active timer should deactivate when another Survivor has been hooked. That way a 5-second stun is totally deserved for tunnelling a Survivor, and the Killer won't get hit even after hooking two other Survivors.

I actually agree with this. With enduring being changes, DS has no reason to be any more than 3 seconds.

Why would you change it back to 3 seconds? I agree with the other change, if someone else gets hooked you shouldn't be able to use it but I would keep it at 5 seconds.

During the last Q&A stream they mentioned that DS seems to be in a fine spot and that they're not looking to change it atm iirc
Which I kind of agree to. When I'm playing killer DS only affects me when I deserve to be affected by it, and as Survivor it can be a godsend (especially during rank reset :^). I think it's fine the way it is.

I play both sides. I think with the enduring nerf it needs to be cut down. 3s is fine as is Head On. DS was buffed to 5s cuz of Enduring. Enduring no longer works so it makes sense.

"During rank reset." So against bad killers, who tend to tunnel cuz they don't know better? What about people playing fair who happen to down you in that time after hooking another survivor?

Ok, so I had a game where she had DS. She'd gotten unhooked, I let her go, and hooked the Ash that yolo saved. She ran in, got downed, DS'd me, then unhooked Ash who also had DS/BT. That's why I don't like DS.

And if you read my suggestion it says "if the killer hook someone else, the perk deactivates"
So why not 5 seconds? ofc i agree it should be 3 sec if it stays like the current version. But if it only punishes actual tunnelers, then why not 5?

Because 5 seconds is plenty of time to get away. 4 was rough cuz Enduring dropped it to like 1s. They buffed it cuz of Enduring, which no longer works against it. So it should be a you have a chance, not here's your free stun you can't miss. Now run to the next pallet and extend the chase. You need all the time you can get as a killer. Especially if you don't wanna tunnel/camp or be an ######### and mori people to apply pressure.

3.5 seconds would even be fine. But yeah, it shouldn't be 5 seconds any more.

Since the DS stun time got increased because of Enduring, it would only be logical to revert it now to 3 seconds since it isn't affected by Enduring anymore.
And that killers who don't tunnel still get punished by DS - when it is supposed to be an anti-tunnel perk - should be changed as well.

The thing is, it's not always tunneling. If you get unhooked, and you and your savior both scatter away from the hook, and the killer has to pick between 2 different sets of scratch marks going in 2 different directions, and happens to pick the person he just unhooked...is that tunneling? The answer is no.

Now since enduring is no longer a thing for it. Just revert it.
But u heard it from the devs. They have "no plans" to change it because they believe it's in a fair place. Sure it is, especially end game when the exit is open too.

The only time I'll slug is when someone got farmed, or I literally have two people next to me. Otherwise I'm hooking. Slugging can be a huge risk. While you're off chasing someone else, they get fully healed and they're now on a gen while you're chasing in an area with fresh pallets.

Agreed. I think the time active should be shorter. Come on, today you can hook another survivor after the one with DS is saved, find them 50 seconds later and imediatly get them, and then suffer a 5 second stun. How is this "tunneling"?

I think it's fine at 5secs.
If DS worked the way it did before and worked in all situations 5 seconds would be too strong without a counterperk, but right now it works when killers tunnel.
That's fine we need perks to discourage tunneling so killers think twice about doing it. Tunneling is one of the biggest problems in the game and we should not be nerfing things that discourage it.

The perk still has counterplay even in the situation you described. You can always slug.

What about the killers who don't run enduring?
Tunneling is not always tunneling. When I see a surv is getting unhokked near me. I decide to chase the target, that is available. It's not like I decide to only chase that surv. And if this is the surv I just hooked. Why he should be rewarded, by just getting a free escape? I really don't see the point.
On the other hand this game is surv sided or more swf sided. There is already bt for exactly this reason. Now I partly see teams with 4x bt ds dh and mom....
Thank you for this... I don't think that any of this perks should be buffed. Even with the number of loobs a map has the tunneled person has got so many perks to defend against it...
He can use dh, bt can procc and mom can procc. Isn't that enough?

For the 100.000th time. DS should be deleted and replaced with something else. Its effect is too strong to be in the game. It's a 60 seconds immunity perk. It's still as unhealthy as it was back in 2016.

I don't mind the 5 second timer when generators are up, but that full minute of immunity in the end game is basically a free escape off hook.

Please, "fair play"! That's survivor talk for "please killer play below average and take actions that damage your chances of kill us all so we survivors can escape easier"
If you don't want to get tunneled don't be easy to catch. Also your friends should block or distract the killer.
If you use DS, 3 seconds should be all you need
