How to improve certain maps (long post)
Coldwind Farms:
This applies to all of the Coldwind maps but this thing right here:

Absolute cancer. Who designed this? For one, the pallet in the center of that structure is absolutely safe and usually it's not that far away from yet another pallet. Secondly, the structure allows Survivors to loop around it several times until either (A) they use the pallet in the center or (B) they either take the hit or go to a neighboring pallet. This spot is the number one reason why I hate all of the Coldwind maps.
A simple fix to improve this horribly designed loop spot: either remove the pallet or make it smaller and remove all of the window vaults.
The other problem that affects all Coldwind Farm maps are the clusters of pallets in very close proximity. The recent double pallet removal has made Coldwind and other maps more tolerably but Coldwind in particular has a problem with pallets being everywhere.
Fractured Cow Shed:
Not too bad except for this:

You're at the mercy of RNG when it comes to the barn and the barn is absolutely massive and takes up a quarter of the map. I personally ignore this spot as a Killer unless I am forced to chase someone because they can waste huge amounts of time. What would kind of fix that spot is simply removing the window vaults and make them just doors.
Rancid Abbatoir:
Another horrible map because of close by pallets but also you have to deal with this:

It's a really bad loop spot. There's a safe pallet right by both entrances. Sometimes two pallets by an entrance. And the absolute worst part is the window. If you got unlucky and the RNG spawns a window in this spot then you are done. Unless you're using Nurse they can loop you there until the end of time.
MacMillan Estate:
I think since the double pallet nerf that MacMillan is mostly fine now. Sometimes RNG can screw you over but that applies to Survivors too. Only exception would be...
Ironworks of Misery:
The map is mostly fine it's just the window in the warehouse:

Everyone hates that window. It just allows them to loop several times. Why can't that window just be a door or not have anything there? Force Survivors to use the catwalk or be more cautious.
Autohaven Wreckers:
Blood Lodge:
Even after the Double Pallet removal there's still an absolute insane (20+) pallets in this map.
Gas Heaven:
Not too bad except for two big issues:
One: your Hex totem almost always spawns to the right of the gas station.
Two: the gas station can be a really bad loop spot depending on RNG. Simple fix: the gas station will always spawn two doors instead of maybe one door and a window.
Wretched Shop:
the shop itself:

Another terrible loop spot. How about the shop has only one window instead of two.
Wreckers Yard:
I can't find a pic for an example but it's a horrendously bad map because of the layout. The main problem is that the shack is in the center of the map and there's some horrible loop spots around the shack that allows Survivors to waste tons of your time.
Crotus Penn Asylum:
The main building in the center of the map is pure cancer. Plenty of absolutely safe pallets and window vaults leading outside. Simple fix: either remove the window vaults leading outside or reduce the number of pallets. Or both.
Haddonfield:
Mostly fine except for bad RNG that spawns multiple windows on the first floor of houses. How about no windows on the first floor of houses?
Backwater Swamp:
I'm actually fine with Backwater. It can be difficult to find Survivors sometimes but I think they're fine maps except for two spots:
Pale Rose:

Either reduce the number of pallets in this sport or remove the window vaults on the 2nd floor of this spot.
Grim Pantry:

The main problem is the RNG spawning window vaults on the ground floor that lead inside and out that lead to a maze of pallets and a really obnoxious loop on the 2nd floor. Just remove the window vaults on the ground floor. Maybe remove a window vault or two on the 2nd floor?
Badham Preschool:

Everyone knows it's the school that's a huge pain in the ass. Tons of pallets inside and out and god help you if there's no basement hooks at the school because Survivors can run down there, waste tons of your time, and even if you down them they can be far enough away from a hook that they can escape, their friends can easily body block you, or they can throw down a pallet blocking a path.
Simple fix: greatly reduce the number of pallets inside and outside the school.
Every map I haven't listed I think is fine as-is.

Just so you know, images can be embedded, but you have to put them in these: ! [] ("")
There's an image button in the editor. As for your post... Your largest issue seems to be with "how many" pallets there are. There are many efficient ways of dealing with pallets and still maintaining map + gen pressure. We even teach Dead by Daylight classes on the community Discord!
Along with this, many of your proposed window changes would make chases nearly unviable for survivors in many areas. While they may be annoying loops at times, they are still possible to get rid of by forcing the use of pallets in the area.
Just some initial thoughts

Sorry dude but if you think Rancid Abbatoir is absolutely fine as-is then you don't know what you're talking about. End of story. Either that or you main Survivor or stay at very low ranks. And I don't appreciate your condescending attitude.
"We even teach Dead by Daylight classes on the community Discord!" Bite me.
Living up to your name I see.
