You are all gonna hate me
As the title suspects, you are all probably gonna hate me. But i believe Freddy is better than Wraith. I usually (no joke) get 3 kill games with him. I never have got a kill with nurse and get 1 or 2 kill games with billy or any other meta killer. (I am rank 15). Or it may be because i have little-to-no skill. But anyway, here's why i think freddy is better than people give him credit for.
-Once someone is put in the dream state, you can track them from anywhere in the map for the most part ( unless they're right by you [in heartbeat range])
-His power adds another thing for survivors to have to do (wake each other up or fail skill checks)
-It is hard for Survivors to hide from him. Unlike every killer other than wraith or Tier 1 Michael, if a survivor hears his lullaby they can only hope theyre in a spot to hide from him because with wraith they can see the outline and with michael they can see his body, so freddy is a rly good stealth killer.
-He also makes survivors fail skill checks like i mentions
I will add more to this thread later but i think you all get the point.

I considered Freddy to be better than Wraith when they changed his TR after cloaking durimg the SAW update.0

Freddy only suffers at high ranked, any killers will do fine on Rank 15. Billy etc you can get survivors down very quickly, Freddy takes a long awhile and people don't know how to fight against them
On high ranked, people will find your ruin, in the act of cleansing it and you can only watch them doing so, you can't stop them. if you find people on gen you watch them finish a gen when it's near 90%
you watch people save from hook you can't do anything after the dude got rescued he will loops you for a good 1-2 minutes = exit gates opened. Borrowed time is extremely strong against Freddy as well
From Rank 20 - Rank 10, I have pretty much a 95% win rate unless it's against SWF groups
Get to high ranked and you will see why Freddy is in need of buffs, you are fighting against trash survivors no offense, in high ranked games by the time you hook the second person all gens should be done or only 1 gen left.

Pretty much the fight between mud and dirt, trying to determine who's the least #########.
Wraith can camp and with add-ons can have a better surprise effect.
Freddy can eventually slightly slow down the generator, and have a decent lategame with NOED + Remember with if he puts everyone in dream state as the gates are getting powered.In any case, both are pretty meh.

I legit have encountered 2 Freddie's past rank 5. #########
But honestly it's not a bad idea to camp at that point because survivors come for the save then go for the heal and underestimate the transition time. 2 people died one game because we were all saving quite safely but he stilled focused them down LOL.

I'm gonna back you up on this, that's what I always thought as well. Freddy's ability actually does something, while The Wraith's thing is only good for camping, which people yell at you for anyway.

There can be valid arguments made for both imo, but in reality... they both suck.
Going from pure stats at ranks 1-5 though, Wraith has a better kill rate than Freddy.

I main freddy, but all that is nice but he is an end game killer, run classphoto for that end game sleep with remember me stacks. The nerf to him during his first week kills him.if they made it so survivors can do channeling actions while in dream transition, make it so survivors aren't automatically woken up when they get up bring his terror radius back down, remove the slowdown from paintbrush and he'll be a dream demon.0

Currently I'm trying to reach rank 1 with him. I started at rank 11, only play him and now I reached rank 6. He requires a completely different play style. I break a lot of chases and go for someone else mid chase. Since he has his aura reading, he can afford to break the chase.
I'm not using Ruin. If I let them loop, I'll lose at least 2 gens. He definitely needs some buffs. Especially to how dark the dreamworld is.
But I'm optimistic that I can reach rank 1.0 -

On paper there is no doubt that freddy is the weakest killer.
However, most survivors play survivor only and rarely play against freddy. They have no idea how to play vs freddy and get lost in the fog easily.However, when you play against SWF of experienced survivor who memorized the pallets, this is when freddy becomes trashtier (yes he is very strong in low rank though, just like doctor)

You should play more and get to Rank 1 asap
NOED on those ranks are unnecessary, I never had a game where I had to use NOED since exit gates never get opened and I always 4K everyone before that, just shows how bad the survivors are at those ranks
Survivors at Ranked 1 will loop you at least for 1/2/3 minutes depending on the loop spot and the skills of the survivor, all those minutes means many gens will be lost and exit gates opened

With those new Freddy changes to the dream world and dream transition though he will definitely be better though.0

Wraith's defense is better than Freddy's, their chase is about the same IMO. Wraith can at least camp a hook if he needs to (and even nullify Borrowed Time) Freddy has no way defend hooks, gens, or totems effectively. For this reason, I consider Wraith the better killer for now.
If the devs actually go through with making it so that people transitioning to the dream state cannot do channeling actions like unhooks, heals, gens, or totems; my opinion will change.
