Just played my first PC game against Nurse

I've been playing this on PS4 for a year where Nurses are very rare and good one is like a unicorn. After playing a good one on PC, what a pile of BS. I know, I know, this has probably discussed many times before. What was the thinking in creating a killer that voids survivor's methods of escape? The only reason people stick with this game is because there is nothing else like it.

I disagree. It is very obvious BHVR has been focusing more on the chase aspect of the game for a long time. There are several anti-stealth killers and perks so you should definitely not die every time a killer finds you because they're so strong.

Furthermore Nurse is perfectly capable without add-ons, but some add-ons make her an even stronger omeganurse.

Coming from a Nurse main, the best way to learn juking Nurses, is playing Nurse yourself. I used to be bad at juking Nurses, and always got caught. But now that I play her, I know how to loose her in a chase.

She is not OP ( some of her add-ons might be), its just that her counterplay is unconventionel and unique.

there isn't really any counterplay against a good nurse

fortunately, there aren't many "god" nurses around since most of them got bored of winning every game, so now the only problem players are the ones who slap on omegablink or 3 blinks + range. you don't need to be good at nurse to use that stuff

What if they just learning a nurse?

You dont have to use sprint burst to win as survivor but a lot of people use it

if they're just learning nurse the best thing they can do is use 0 addons so they can get used to the muscle memory. using range or +blink addons only teaches you to use those addons

First time and already complaining, don't you think you should try and learn how to counter her?

Did you ever played as the nurse?

    Tips against nurse:

    Break line of sight.

Run Iron Will, good killers, especially on Nurse, are using their ears. Urban Evasion could help too as well Quick and Quiet.

Use the fatigue to your advantage to stun, blind or sneak away. You can even hide in her blindspots.

    Mindgame her Blinks.

Don't roam the map carelessly. It just helps her to snowball.

    Learn, adapt, overcome.

If this is your first game against a PC Nurse you're definitely still in the low ranks. You haven't even gone up against the good nurses yet.

You missed the point of his post entirely.

Nurse isnt too strong. She has a high skill ceiling so at the highest levels she is extremely hard to beat.

But most Nurses aren't God nurses. Nurse is one of the easiest killers to juke, if not the easiest killer to juke. Lots of coubterplay against her and mind gaming her blinks then going for a quick juke to break the chase is the way to counter her.

It's unfortunate that most survivors are too focused on looping to do this, that's why they think nurse is OP. A really good nurse with good game sense and tracking and some detection perks is one of the hardest things to beat in this game. But those nurses aren't very common. It's hard to get to that level of excellence.

Last night I faced a 3 blink Nurse who chased me for 5 gens before she DC'd because she couldn't catch me.

Learn to mindgame her. Most Nurse's expect pallet looping, so when you don't, it really fecks them up

I mean, you came from console. What do you expect? The skill cap of console is much lower + pc has more experience because well DbD is longer available on pc.

Also, you are probably low rank when u just started on pc

@Mochan. Well, record a video and show us how to escape from an p3 omegablink nurse, please.

Maybe stop being a Loopy looper when facing nurse?

When looping will go loads of salt is expected

Whatever helps them is called SWF. It doesnt take a much of brain to win when everyone know about killers whereabouts. Just take OoO and that info is given to you

You apparently don't know jack about the Depip squad

They were able to pull off the same ######### with no comms

  • Slayer
    Slayer Member Posts: 1,148

Then blame player. If you cant 4k every game as omega blink you suck no offense

  • FrenziedRoach
    FrenziedRoach Member Posts: 2,600

I didn't say anything about 4ks. I only pointed out that the depip squad - 4 very experienced players, went in and destroyed just about every single killer they went up against easily - even without comms, and sometimes without perks.

Because they knew the game THAT WELL that they understood at top level play, survivors hold all the cards.

To be completely fair, that was awhile ago and lots of things have changed since then (such as the universal healing nerf that finally took self-care off the meta). I'd be curious to know if they'd be able to pull off the same thing today.

And every one of those killers were playing "daily". None of them played to get 4kills they were playing simply for points.

@KaoMinerva you're completely wrong. I came from console, and I'm actually pretty good at juking Nurses on PC, I was since day 1.

You are completely wrong about this and it's offensive.

If you're pretty good you shouldn't be complaining. It's common knowledge a GOD NURSE will kill you 9 time out of 10. They've seen it all and miss are legacy 3. Accept your L and move on.

yeah dude just run a depip squad when you solo queue into an omegablink nurse, easy

Oh man, asylum building... A nightmare, nearly impossible to down a decent survivor who is running that building optimal.

@Slayer You said stealth! OMG! I'm laughing so hard right now. There is no real stealth play in this game anymore. So many aura perks, then add in the new GF perk that even negates Dance With Me - because that was too powerful to deal with.

There is no stealth play in this game. That is one of the primary reasons I switched to killer a year ago and never looked back. It's loop, blind, stun, loop. That is it.
