After the Double BP event with all the party cakes the grind feels EVEN WORSE!

I was starting to believe the grind wasn't that bad. I almost forgot the event was even going on. I was having so much fun. Now the grind is back to it's normal rates I feel like I want to quit lol.

Getting more bloodpoints overall makes for a much more fun experience!

Made a thread a while back with the purpose of improving the bloodpoint offerings to net you more bloodpoints overall AND lower the grind. By lowering the amount of BP offerings from 15 (16 for survivors) to 8 for either side and improving their value, its a reduction in the grind in two ways.

    Here's a link to the thread → https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/46827/a-rework-of-bloodpoint-offerings

@xChrisx that is such massively flawed logic. Just because the grind is the "point" doesn't meant he grind needs to be ######### aweful.

@FoxWolfFrostFire But if it wasn't awful people would actually be satisfied with their characters and builds.

At that point they're playing just to play and will slowly drop off.

Never feeling done is never quitting.

Some people are quitting BECAUSE of the grind.

    This needs to be fixed

@Bbbrian2013 The ones that already got everything can never be satisfied anyway. You need to think of those who're starting out or are in the middle of the grind already. They're suffering.

If the grind is your only reason to keep playing DbD then you are 100% wasting your time. Games are there to have fun with it and not collect numbers (bp) and unlock stuff with it while not enjoying the gameplay itself.

Ok the point of the gameplay or i wasnt there to still play. What i mean is, when u unlock every single perk on everyone, what's the point to still play? Ok 2-3 games but then idk u but i quit

Currently with the Gateau's being available, the fact that although they won't appear in bloodwebs after the event ends but can still be used, my grind has shifted from simply ranking up or maxing out my characters to grinding for a sizable inventory of Gateau's. I'm stocking up about 30 per character, more if I can manage it before the event ends, that way I'll have plenty available for when the next 2x BP event happens. This is going much faster for killers since they don't have the party starters competing with the gateau's in the bloodwebs, so I've prioritized stocking them up on the killers that earn the most BP's first (Doc, Legion). The way I see it, I'm investing in them now to maximize my BP gain later, and since the next 2x BP event will likely happen after the Dedicated servers go live and disciplinary committee are established, that means that event will have far less petty DC'ing so the BP gain will be even better for everyone.

It's crazy, as an experiment I used 10 Gateau's over 10 games as Legion, earning roughly 90-120k per game until I hit 1 mil BP. Then I spent it all on legion and earned 22 which is a net gain of 12 more Gateau's on top of recouping my losses. It doesn't really matter if I win or lose the matches as long as I keep working to maximize the Hunting, Devious and Brutality categories before the match ends for a guaranteed 24K BP + whatever I achieve in the sacrifice category. So Killers definitely have the better deal there, and in comparison i did the same thing again spending 10 or so to gain 1 mil BP, then pumped them all into my survivor, and they got a total of 11 gateau's and 15 Party starters. So it was a net gain of 1 gateau for them which isn't as efficient, but there's no way i'm gonna run out of Party starters for a long time. My strategy for getting Gateau's for the Survivor is to use the killer to get the points and then pump it into the survivor until they get a decent stock of them because the Killer can more easily regain all they used but the survivor can't.

As a pleasant side effect, Legion and Doctor now have all perks in the game, and I'm working on Nurse, Huntress, and Spirit Currently since I stopped at a stock of 30 for those two, but will likely return to them for more after I get that amount on the others, and My survivor. My next 2x BP experience will be the best one I've had in a Long time since I won't be running out of High BP gain offerings. Stock up while you can everyone, It'll be worth it!

@xChrisx If you now have every character P3'd and all perks and everything, then you're not gonna be affected by reducing the grind. You've already reached the end of the journey.

@se05239 He'd be effected because it's be meaningless.

Unless they did a new Legacy.

You wouldn't be able to tell the difference between someone who maxed out perks/levels the hard way or the new faster way.

Suddenly the hours that were put in are worth less progress per hr...

It takes the shiny accomplishment badge away.

Yeah tbh what makes it feel worse is, you'll upgrade your killer and get 2 cake offerings.. a couple puddings in there.. and maybe even a BPS... all in the same web.

Then you goto survivor and struggle to get one cake offering in 3 bloodwebs... pretty much a big joke.

Who the hell wants a firecracker.. I mean they are ok.. but... 103% extra BP is WAY better.

Then what makes it worse... you goto to use your killer then cause you got about 50 of them on your killer, and you get treated to 5 minute lobbies, cause allot of other players are just trying to get some points.

@Bbbrian2013 That isn't remotely true, It just improves the gameplay for more people and is destroying a barrier to entree it would be so much better for the game's health to reduce the grind. (Not get rid of the grind.) But as it stands it took me well over 60,000,000 Blood points just to get ONE ######### perk I wanted on my doctor. That is WAY to much.
