Solo survivor

Is it just me or it was never this bad to play solo survivor, I literally can't escape unless I run the killer for multiple gens or get the hatch. Every game I get some potato teammates who go down within 10 seconds after they get injured and die while I don't get hooked even once. I'm currently rank 5 and you would expect some decent survivors in this rank now when it's harder to pip but no it feels like I'm playing with people who are supposed to be rank 15.

Yes. Red rank is worse since you get matched up with greens and purple that die fast, so you make the saves because no one else is and killer is likely to ignore you after the first chase if you are good, so you get nothing in light bringer and evader, when you are the last and they chase you, you might get some evader, but probably lose unbroken due to EGC.

Probably lot of boosted due to farming during event too.

I made a post about this exact problem not long ago - the solo survivor experience has gone downhill hard since the latest patch for many different reasons.

-Survivor breathing is loud as hell

    -Survivor perk MoM is gone

-Survivor of all ranks gets mixed together (this is bad especially now in free weekend)

-Survivor havent gotten a good perk since 2016

-Survivor has to deal with the bugged and currently broken killers (GF in particullar)

-Survivor player count has gone down (old timers leave cos frustrated with game direction)

Many more points but its honestly useless to list them all, the solo survivor experience is a total flop at this point.

It's because there are a large number of boosted players that contaminate the player pool.

Block them, I've never been matched with anyone I've blocked since blocking them seems like the only effective way

I always play solo and my games have been roughly the same as always. Sometimes you get idiots, sometimes you don't.

Yes, I do think that after the pipping changes, the better survivors seem to no longer stay in the purple/green ranks and as a result purple/green matches can be more annoying. But it comes and goes.

Ranking to red doesn't help avoid that either. With this matchmaking it is common to be lumped in with purples and greens all the time. And for the record there are a lot of red idiots too - legacy or P3 does not matter, those are some of the biggest idiots I have ever seen.
