Dead by Daylight should no longer be affected by an outage. Players logging into the game between September 26 3PM ET and September 28th 3PM ET will receive 1M Bloodpoints as compensation.

a fix for swf

the best way to do it, is to bring the solo survivor experience up to the level of swf. so, allow survivors to see all other survivors auras. allow solo survivors to see the killer's aura or even just general location as this on par with swf. allow solo survivors to see what gens are where and how far along. illuminate exit gates at the end of the game and allow solo survivors to see who has what items.

this is just a beginning, of course but it would be a good start to leveling the playing field.

any suggestions?

No. Just no. SWF is powerful enough to bully a killer when done right. Giving solo survivors that power is worse. SWF should be nerfed in some way.

kill aura, no. After all this we could start buffing weaker killers.

That is indeed the right way to do it, punishing people for playing SWF is an idiotic path that shouldn't be pursued no matter what . Somewhat off-topic but the same mentality should be applied to camping to be fair, like giving the killer 1 minute of a BP modifier when hooking someone to make it tempting to go do other stuff if possible, not punish it and especially not with pointless rank punishments.

No killer aura though, built-in kindred + chase indicator + totem counter would do wonders on its own as it'd stop the solo death spiral of "everyone races eachother for the unhook all the time", as well as the opposite "everyone assumes someone else is going for the unhook".

What if they just made voicecoms in game, with the option to mute yourself or teammates like COD does. If SWF can just hop on discord to get this exact thing anyway, putting it in the game itself would offer no additional advantage. Still think the whole SWF thing is kinda ridiculous though in that it completely negates things like he 3rd seal, but at least this way, you can begin to properly balance.
