New game mode with no perks
Would be nice to have a game mode where items, add-ons and perks are disabled.

No one would play it,tbh.

Sounds boring imo

I could see that being interesting but the higher you go up the rank system the more cripples certain Killers.
As a survivor you don't typically need to run items and it's pretty easy to go without perks.
The second you stop playing all of the lower tier Killers you're going to realise that it is completely ridiculous. Honestly I could tell you for a fact that that game mode after a certain point it's going to just be populated with nurses and maybe Billys

My friends and I do this every now and then in KYF, it's an interesting change of pace learning to play without anything else to rely on other than your ability to hunt / hide.
Sadly I'm not sure its something they will implement for some of the reasons already posted. But it's a nice idea all the same.

I like the idea of this to change thing up. Imo maybe you find your perks in-game somehow. Like every gen done everyone gets a perk back at random. I don't know for killer...maybe everyhook? Or time based like every 60secs. Sorry if this is not what you want.

They are doing some sort of test like this soon I think?
It's going to be interesting whether survivors or killers not named Nurse will get more benefit out of the exchange.
Obviously Nurse benefits the most lol. But as Survivor I can get to rank 1 without perks or items; so it's more of a question of how much do killers lose in their 4 perks vs survivors lose in their combined 16 perks. Not sure tbh.

People would play it just because they'd be on an "even" playing field with everyone else. And you underestimate how salty people are about various perks on both sides. I could easily see at least an initial "Yay now I don't have to deal with X" wave of people trying it out. Not sure how long that would last though.

I would

I honestly like the idea. It's basically like the Vanilla experiment they're doing now. :)

Actually, this used to be requested a lot. Expect to see it requested more as well.
A lot of us would actually play it, myself included.

@Gcarrara what exactly IS the vanilla experiment?

After about 3000 hours I see absolutely no reason to even play dbd anymore if it wasn't for all the perk builds that allow for various gamestyles. Everytime a chapter drops I'm wondering if the new perks allow new builds to surprise people. Without perks dbd would feel completely blunt to me.

You make it sound like in suggesting this replace the regular mode that has perks. I'm simply suggesting an additional mode.

I generally like any content added to the game. I'm just saying I'd personally most likely not use a perkleee mode for the reason above since I enjoy thinking of new builds and trying to figure out what perks everybody's running etc.

It's an experiment they're doing with a restricted group of people for a day. All people inolved will play without any perks, items, addons or offerings. Do you play on PC? If so you can check the announcement ingame if you scroll back the news before the patch notes of version 3.0.0 for all the details. 😀
