The second iteration of 2v8 is now LIVE - find out more information here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/480-2v8-developer-update

Let's see how many pros and cons are there...

Cons:

  • Slightly reduced the stalk rate add-ons
  • Adjusted all stalk rate add-ons, so that they only affect stalking while not leaning
  • Slightly increased the Detection area in the center of screen for Survivors
  • Fixed an issue that allowed Ghost Face to continue stalking already Marked Survivors
  • *stomp stomp*

Pros:

  • Stalking while leaning is twice faster than normal stalking
  • Slightly increased the Killer Instinct base duration to 2 seconds from 1.5 seconds
  • Removed the proximity Sound that the Killer generated while in Night Shroud

Biggest Cons:

  • Slightly increased the Detection area in the center of screen for Survivors
  • Fixed an issue that allowed Ghost Face to continue stalking already Marked Survivors (It was not a bug btw)

Biggest Pros:

  • Removed the proximity Sound that the Killer generated while in Night Shroud

All in all in my opinion, the buffs don't balance out the nerfs, Detection area was not a problem, it was just people not able to know how to handle their mouse, I found it quite easy to look at him even on console, so there was no point in changing that at all. Stalk rate add-ons were fine, so I don't know why you had to change them or even not make them affect leaning anymore. Remarking a survivor was fine and was not a bug, marking someone and them finding a really good loop that leads to another good loop was a problem and that help it out so now its just a matter of if they are out in the middle of nowhere or you catch up to them quick, but them finding a really powerful loop? you might just have to leave them and then stalk him again. He looks and feels like more of just an M1 killer now.

I think people said the detection area was for controller players/console, which always has me wondering why don't PC and console get separate balance patches? Things do play differently when you actually compare them, from framerate to controller.

This. People need to stop using console as an excuse. I'm on console. I advocated for them to change detection consistency, which has nothing to do with range.

It wasn't really hard on console, back to not using your power all game, I suppose... Sigh.

Whoever said it was difficult for console users to aim and break out Ghostface must have severe arthritis, I can run in circles while looking behind me on the PS4.

This ######### is so annoying that I am exhausted from complaining because it goes nowhere. I was enjoying myself again but now I feel like the game is ######### again. Their design philosophy is so ######### up. If it's not broken don't fix it, if it's fine leave it alone or make it better DON'T MAKE IT WORSE!!!

Everyone was having a good time with Ghostface who said it was difficult and wasn't lying their privileged ass off? Practice is all Survivors needed, it's how I got good, it's how everyone got good. This is so disgusting.

And to clarify, I'm not saying the nerfs will make it harder to play him. I am criticizing their decision, the decisions themselves are what's pissing me off, not the actual adjustments. I haven't played the new Ghostface yet but I'm sure it's n, nevermind it probably is just as bad the new Legion knowing them.

I actually do have tendonitis in my left thumb and wrist and I find it easy to aim.

I played survivor with a controller on PC and was surprised how fast I began breaking him out while running. I guess that's what happens when you read how it works first. I have my controller sensitivity jacked up so maybe that helped but I know it isn't as hard as some people were saying.

The detection angle WAS a problem though. Your anecdotal evidence means jack.

There are videos EVERYWHERE even your fog whispers that stream, when they play GhostFace you can clearly see that people are breaking them out easily and them breaking GhostFace out easily themselves, the change to the view was unnecessary, completely unnecessary, but whatever, we all still don't know where you got your analysis from to do this change, all you keep saying is "Oh well this person said that" or "We has lots of people say so" But not really showing any analysis of that, no real information at all. All the problem was just how a little buggy it was to look at him, but you guys decided just to increase the view and not fix the real problem.
