Event Items and Prestige

I feel event items should be voided from being lost while prestiging your characters. Everyone else is something you can obtain again afterwards, but those are maybe obtainable one time in a whole year, and I'd really like to collect and save a few just to have and remember. But that makes is so I'm forced not to prestige or potentially never have them again, such as the 3rd year anniversary cake and stuff, since they're limited time obtainable.
