Q&A: 3.0.1
As is tradition, we'll be collecting question regarding the 3.0.1 update. We'll take some of the best questions and answer them in a post under the patch notes.
Note: Since these changes were announced and discussed in the previous Q&A (for 3.0.0), we may skip over this one if the questions are all the same as last time.

Do you find Decisive strike in a good spot right now or are you planning some further changes to it ?
I personally like this new version but at some cases it can be used as more of 1 minute immunity then anti-tunneling perk.

- You release a killer on the beta that everyone agrees was crap.
- You buff said killer to perform better on the PTB due to overwhelming negative reaction.
- You then make a poll asking your player base if they're satisfied with the changes which they are.
- Then all of a sudden you nerf him, despite over 80% of your community liking the buffs to him

Do you plan to look at detection perks and how they affect GhostFace while he is in Night Shroud?

With the previous patch, there were a number of critical bugs with perks and add-ons that negatively impacted both killers and survivors for an whole week. My question is that is there a way for BHVR to develop a system where perks and add-ons can be disabled without the need for an update.

What is the process on internal testing and how long do things stay in testing for? Since Legion it feels you guys are just spewing bad content for a buck instead of taking the time too polish them. MoM is a perfect example. It should never of gotten past internal testing, but you still pushed it out without a second thought. Another one is Ghostface, His detection bug was caught in seconds on the PTB, but it made it past testers.

Are there any plans to start making killers that are viable at all levels of play? Or are we still firmly in the.. 'fun is the only thing that matters' mindset? I'd like to remind the developers that fun killers who tend to lose very often against good survivors don't provide a very enjoyable experience. After all, who has fun losing?

Why are still insisting on using words like "Moderately" etc. to discribe effects of items/perks/add-ons? Please use actual numbers/percentages. This will help to understand what you actually mean.

Will there be any Legion buffs in the future?
Because using their power really hurts them more than it helps...

Why didn't you revert the Decisive Strike buff that was made specifically to deal with Enduring, now that Enduring no longer affects Decisive Strike? This seems unfair, since the buff was explicitly to make it better against Enduring, and you implied that without Enduring, the stun was too long.

Regarding the changed values on the stalk rate add-ons on Ghost Face; were they never supposed to work while leaning, or was that introduced with this hotfix patch? Only his ultra rare tape affects lean stalking if i'm correct? Could this be a place to adjust him should he need the help? Like letting the stalk rate add-ons affect lean stalking as well.

Are there any plans for a Legion buff? His vault speed and movement speed in feral frenzy isn't fast enough to feel like you're a fast killer. Every time I vault a pallet as Legion I feel like I'm in a slow motion action film. Why not make deep wounds slow down actions speeds? That way survivors have a reason to mend as fast as they can because right now deep wounds fails to slow down the game. I could work on a gen, get a good chunk of it done, and still mend safely.
Is Plague gonna get a buff? She struggles in the high ranks, if survivors don't cleanse her power is denied and yeah I know the broken status effect looks scary but corrupt vile is scarier. Why not punish fully infected survivors with an action speed penalty so we have a reason to cleanse?
Edit for the Plague Question : I know the broken status effect is suppose to be the punishment but this "punishment" isn't working because she's still incredibly loop-able especially when she's tall af.

When are you going to revert Decisive Strike back to before it was buffed to compensate for Enduring's ability to deal with all forms of stun? I agree that tunneling shouldn't guarantee a free sacrifice or kill, but DS often gives Survivors a free escape and/or another chance at starting another chase or loop that wastes even more time for the Killer. I believe you guys even mentioned that the only reason it was buffed in the first place is because you noted that it was so hard to balance stuns originally due to Enduring existing?

Why are the sounds still not working, especially the chase music? Did you intend these changes to the sounds or they're just bugged?

Legion addon rework?
I mean, the most of his addons, except duration and CD addons are useless.
Pins isnt worth slashing person twice, for timed debuff, cause you get stunned on 4 secs, while person just runs away.
Same with Deep Wound Study, it gives no profit. Same - Frank mixtape, that is useless, due CD and fatigue.
Frank mixtape shouldnt give the ability to cut the bar, instead it should give strong buffs to vault speed, frenzy speed, etc.
Deep wound study should make you able to see DW progress.

Ino the bug from wake up was bad. But the increased vaulting speed was really good. So my question is can a perk be added that increases vaulting speed to something similar to that 15%?

Are you going to start balancing the game based on the higher ranks?
We'll never get a good killer again if you keep balancing around low ranks
The last good killer was Spirit, still took 3 buffs and a bug fix to make her good
Legion became unfun and the power is now not worth using
Both Plague and Ghostface got the "Freddy Treatment"

Do you feel it is fair for campers to benefit from NOED, when the counter to camping is to “just do gens”? Wouldn’t NOED be in a better place if there was a minimal requirement, such as having to at least get 4 hooks during the game or something like that?

You stated that you increased the area of GF detection by 4% in each direction of the screen. So what is the total percentage of the GF detection screen area now? In other words, what is the 8% vertical and horizontal increase being added to? (An actual visual as well as the number would be appreciated.)

Last stream you mentioned Nurse reworks. Will that be something like giving her blinks a limited number of charges For her blinks that recharge over time and then giving her 110 movement speed to compensate? Or are we able to get any spitball info based on what you guys were thinking of doing.

At high Ranks I am being revealed instantly as Ghostface all the time, How are you supposed to be able to do anything about that other than requiring me to use specific addons every game?

What makes a killer viable at rank 1 is high mobility. Do you plan to release more high mobility killers like nurse and hillbilly?

Bug still exists with not being able to heal, wiggle and they also coincide with trying to escape you can't exit through the gate without falling off the map and need to find the hatch. Any timeline on when this is expected to be resolved?

Have the devs actual a vision how to bring the "fun element" back for Legion players (for which it would be necessary to make the Legion faster again and deleting some drawbacks since drawbacks are no fun at all imo) and how to make her unique again (so not just another m1 killer)?

Could Legion's old vault speed be reintroduced?
The current vault is sluggish and sometimes is actually too slow to catch people around loops, I don't see the harm in buffing it since Frenzy no longer downs.

I would like you to review GF a bit more ... reduce the base time of the power, increase a bit the time in which the survivors begin to detect GF, it is my opinion.

Now that you guys have fixed play with your food in 3.0.1, is there any plans to buff it, and myers other perks? The gaining a stack whenever the obsession was downed made it a useful perk in comparison to now

Is it possible to buff the Pigs' crouch and uncrouch to be faster, also on the same note, make the dash a little farther by 2 steps and take the rawr out or at least put it at the end of the pigs' current dash? It would help with actually using the dash. Right now, it's safer to go for a grab and dashing at loops is usually slightly too short and they get a warning to which direction to run.

Will you add a "Lean Over" mechanic for GhostFace to peek above open windows? Sometimes this feels unintuitive, I would like to lean and to peek over stuff.

You’ve been seeing it, but I want my take on this too...
Will Legion be receiving any sort of buff or rework in the new future? A lot of people have been voicing their opinions on this lately and I really don’t want this unique Killer to be killed off. People have been voicing add-on reworks, buffs, and even ability changes that they want to see, but there’s been zero feedback from anyone at BHVR about it. We need to know what’s in store for Legion. Please.

I know you all have a lot on your plate with this years roadmap and all the changes being asked ect. But I am wanting to know, now that we saw Mettle of Man nerfed are there any plans for the future to rework any of Ashley’s perks? I know that the MoM change was necessary but many people are a bit let down by how lack luster his perk set up is now. Thanks

Survivors were and even more so now; able to detect gf while fully hidden behind cover. Is this an issue with specific objects on the map or intended as counterplay?

Since you are still making balance changes to Ghostface, are there any plans to make him and The Pig able to counter Object of Obsession? This perk makes their powers useless, and it's being used a lot now that Ghostface is released. Any other plans for making stealth killers more viable?

Are there any plans of reworking mettle of man? In the current state its nearly trash and nobody, except the killer, benefit from it(chaotic teammates) . If you rework it, could you look at the condition(safe unhooks & protection hits, ... ?) and maybe a real penalty (broken, exhaustion?). Maybe rework the function to just counter exposed attacks? so m1 killer wouldnt suffer.
So it wouldnt be too strong and viable for solo survivor.
