Very disappointed with the dlc ash vs devil
I bought the dlc yesterday because it was on offer and I realize that his unique ability that gave him something unique has nerfeado, to such a degree that it is unplayable and benefits the killer if you try to perform, totally unfortunate.
I tried to return it in steam but of course it had been more than 2 hours when I realized that they had nerfed that perk in this recent patch 3.00.
I want to point out that unlike the rest I buy the dlc because I like his movies and his recent series and not just perks, but I admit that I expected something to vary my role, not this that does not work for absolutely nothing...

He has got two other perks.

Well, maybe you shouldn't buy a Character for their Perks, but rather for the Character as such. Perks are subject to changes and Mettle of Man had it coming, experienced players predicted the problems it would cause even before it was released.
21 -
That's on you for buying a character for a perk without checking said perks effect.

I didint bought him for hes perk except flip flop i like that perk you however you want a ez game with MoM it got nerf cuz it dosent require skill now it does alot ppl dont think of it that theres alot of 2nd perk chance and they shouldnt put more 2nd perk it gives even more toxic players and also ez game with survivor if you dont like it dont play the game or if you want to play this game adapt simple as that

I'll be honest I bought Ash primarily for being Ash, but also for Flip Flop. They talked about Flip Flop about a year ago and I'd been waiting for it since.

Always read up and do research on anything you are about to purchase.

Look who got shitted in tall grass
7 -
This is some serious lack of logic.
You can buy the dlc for whatever reason you want.
And if the reason you bought the dlc for is later modified or in this case, nerfed into the ground he has every right to be annoyed by it.

...

Why didn't you confirm the perks in question when you bought the DLCm
0 -
Why would you need to rely on 2nd chance perks anyway.
Hate those types of people, useless and selfish.
8 -
Except this guy bought it AFTER it was already nerfed
7 -
YOu dont deserve ASH!!
please use a claudette. Thank you.

These devs are smart. Now Ash must sell on his handsome looks rather than his perks.

I'll see what I said before in a similar thread.
Perks in addons are constantly being changed and reworked if they get too overpowered or too underpowered.
With that knowledge if you're going to buy an entire DLC for one perk and then be surprised or annoyed when it gets changed then I seriously question your judgement choices.
If you want to make the argument whether the change was too harsh (which I do agree with) that's fine but don't complain because an unbalanced perk got balanced.
Even before Ash released everyone was saying the perk was going to be unbalanced the fact that it was going to be changed was pretty obvious if you still bought it with the intention of having its unbalanced version that's on you.

Two more useless perks. :)
3 -
Why didn't you read the perk description before you purchased it?
Things are constantly changing in this game.... and this change has been discussed ad nauseam when they announced it was changing so a simple search you'd know it changed.

Nah man these are the types of people that gamble on loot boxes for the Pay2Win experience instead of getting better at the game they are playing. They simply won't learn from it.
2 -
You bought him after the nerf, and we've known the nerf was coming for a couple months. This was 100% your fault. Plus, all abilities are obviously subject to balance changes, and mettle of man was blatantly overpowered.
6 -
Again, just because people can complain on a forum doesn't mean they actually took any time or effort to make any form of rash decisions. Specifically expecting a game to which for the most part is only unbalanced not trying P2W. To release a paid to win perk and not nerf it sooner or later.

There is not one sane person that thought Mettle of Man was a perfectly balanced and fair perk. likewise, there is not one sane person that would have believed that said perk would remain in its original state for very long.
That single perk had the capability to ruin any chance the killer had at a victory (kill), especially if they were not top tier, or had no way of instantly downing you/ killed you with their power.

I just want him to shut up. Everytime he talks in a lobby it startles the crap out of me.
1 -
I knew the instant mettle of man was officially announced it would be nerfed.
I bought Ash as I love the character nothing else, perks to me are just a bonus if they are good if not I don't mind as I normally only have two constants in my build iron will and bond for the evasive manouvers when injured and info.
I never used second chance perks auch as ds or mom as I feel it becomes too easy and I am more likely to be tunnelled or camped.

Damn. That's why I'm glad I bought it for Ash and not some "necessary meta perk".
Play the game for fun. If you buy a DLC with the hopes that you get an OP advantage (see pay to win) then I really dont feel bad.
The changes have been known.
Besides. Ash as a character is the best part of any DLC released. His perks could literally show your aura all game and I'd still have bought him.

Players have the right to be annoyed by balance changes on content they are essentially renting?
No, they dont. Check the ToU. Look for "subject to change". The right to be upset at changes made to THEIR product were gone when you clicked "I agree".
Besides that, if you're annoyed by a balance change that makes something not broken, what was the intent of original purchase? Pay to win?

"With that knowledge if you're going to buy an entire DLC for one perk and then be surprised or annoyed when it gets changed then I seriously question your judgement choices."
He paid for a dlc that had a perk that worked a certain way, he didnt pay for a temporary perk that would be gone in a few months.
That is anti-consumer and scummy tactics by the seller who has now proven himself to not be trusted for future purchases.
It doesn't matter if the perk was OP or not. BHVR had no problem charging money for it.

And BHVR charge money for Freddy, Myers/Laurie, leatherface to name a few all of which have had perks changed over time and that's just the licensed ones.
Not to mention a complete rework of power for Freddy happening.
If you purchase anything in an online game and dont expect changes especially for balance purposes then that's on the buyer for a lack of understanding of what mutiplayer games are all about.
Now you have to ask yourself if a perk got a buff would people still complain? I think you know that answer.
2 -
imagine buying a famous horror hero icon and the real reason you bought it was to take advantage of one of his perks just to make playing survivor easier.
Was i the only one who bought Ash because it's ######### Ash Williams voiced BY BRUCE CAMPBELL!!??!
Also what are you whinging about? MoM is super easy to get stacks for now, all you have to do is save and take hits.

Most people would enjoy having less good perks buffed to a state where they can be used.
Most people would also not enjoy paying money for a product only for the product to become useless after a certain time.
If u buy a washing machine you expect it to do the job as advertised, that's why you paid for it yeah.
If the washing machine becomes useless after a few months you would be annoyed.
0 -
Well that is what has been happening since the games first paid dlc in 2016 and guess what out of the hundreds of thousands of players each month how many actual complaints have you seen about MoM?
This actually says that the vast majority if not 99.999999999% accept it due to knowing anything in a multiplayer game can change for for the sake of balance, if people cant accept that simple concept then they shouldn't pay real money for anything in them.
Such a bad analogy using a broken washing machine as MoM isnt broken it still gives the same end result, it just has a different method of making that happen.
