Why did the rank system change?
NOTE: This question will be more centered around the survivor side of things, since it seems my days of finding killer lobbies are over.
I am seeing numerous flaws with the new ranking system, especially in the sense that a survivor can not get caught all game, do gens, get saves, all the good stuff, but if they don't get into a few chases they will still, at most, safety pip. Why was the badge system even implemented? If it was to prevent M1 macro killers from giving pips, then it's failed entirely. I can't really say it promotes skill either, since it seems to reward being caught more than it rewards being stealthy (of course altruism is an exception.)
Hopefully someone can clear this up for me? I'd love to hear some other points of view!

The pipping system for both Survivor and Killer is not is a great spot right now. They are counter-intuitive to the efficiency in which you complete the trial. However, Killer pipping I feel to be much harder than Survivor as the Victory Cube no longer exists (3-4k is a MUST).

The Emblem system is not designed arround playing as efficiently as possible and actually punishes you for it.
It is now designed around what the players consider to be "fair play" and promtes screwing around. it also meakes it easier for stronger players to stay in the lower ranks which isnt what a rank system should be about at all.

survivor pipping is rather easy provided the killer isn't a total pushover and you actually try to participate in the video game (people will hold m1 all game and then wonder why it doesn't rank them up)
killer pipping is more complicated and yet lacks nuance. killer playstyles differ from killer to killer but the emblem system ranks them all identically (a hillbilly who uses his chainsaw to down people will get a silver chaser emblem at best, even if he 4ks). the whole gatekeeper emblem is also questionable
