When will Prayer Beads be changed?

Really frustrating to go against it. One second you're working on a generator, then you get grabbed out of nowhere. No real counter to it. Spine Chill/Premonition aren't real counters and running one perk just in case you might face one killer with one specific add-on isn't worth it.

It'll probably never get a change.

And if it did, they'd just up the rarity to Ultra Rare instead of Very Rare.

I don't find it too frustrating to play against. Sometimes if you listen closely you'll be able to hear her footsteps when she gets really close, giving you enough time to get off the gen before she manages to grab you.

If I had to take a guess, i'd say I encounter Prayer Beads Spirit around once every 50 games or so, obviously more common during Double Bloodpoints and events such as now.

Hard counters for everything is terrible for gameplay. It promotes only 1 way of gameplay. Soft counters, in this example gen tapping, spine etc. are perfect for game balance. They offer an option but also promote and encourage skillful gameplay as they are not completely the answer but in how you use them. Relying totally on nerfs and hard counters will not grow you as a player or as a survivor. It will only water down the gameplay so much that this game will be reduced to spreadsheets as is the current state of games like Overwatch.

Saying that taking a perk isn't worth something as well shows that you have gotten used to using a particular set of perks as well. You are given the opportunity to take Iron Will, for example, one game but you may find its Spirit next game and then you wished you had taken it in hindsight. Making your builds flexible is a great way to be prepared for any situation. Not knowing what your up against is part of the game as well and another aspect which promotes skillful gameplay.

Beads while strong, can be countered to a degree as you can still here foot steps, see grass move, and birds fly, Gen Tap, Premo, Spine Chill and just being alert. Given this would be harder to detect on a map like Lery's, but every map is stronger for either side in one way or another.

Relying on Prayer Beads to get undeserved gen grabs also doesn't make you a better Killer. Even if you're gen tapping, you're still giving the Spirit a free hit and if you're not using Iron Will it means you'll get downed fairly quickly. Premonition also only triggers once every x seconds and often only gives false positives while looking around causing you to run away from the gen and only wasting time. Hearing footsteps over the sounds of the generator also isn't reliable and the Spirit doesn't move grass while phasing.

It is just a cheap add-on that makes the game too easy for her and unfair as well as unfun for survivors. It doesn't feel rewarding getting a grab that a survivor had no idea was coming and it doesn't feel good to get grabbed when you know there was near nothing you could've done to avoid it.

Used to be somewhat reasonable on some maps because you could see her moving grass or corn when she phased. Now with latest update there is absolutely no way to hear or see her coming, but she sure as hell can hear you. She can just nudge around the gen until her collision detects a survivor, then grab.

She still makes footsteps I guess, but wish you luck hearing that over a gen getting repaired.

I found the opposite - out of the last five games against a spirit, four of them used prayer beads.
