Regarding the upcoming bloodpoint changes

In the Developer Update it was mentioned that the Bridge for Bloodpoint scoring between survivors and Killers will be bridged.

I think this is completely fine apart from one thing, Killer Add ons.

I believed Killers earned more for essentially having to do more in a trial as well as loosing add ons every trial while survivors get to keep their items when they escape. If survivors are now going to have the potential to earn as much as Killers and stockpile items wouldn't it make sense to compensate the killers a little too? Maybe by reducing the price of add ons?

Just a thought.

    Eh I don't think it's a big deal.

Btw what did they say in terms of bridging the gap?

Or rather if survivors can keep their add-ons for escaping, a killer should be allowed to keep theirs for getting a 4 kill game (DCs count towards a 4k).

Or just have survivors lose their addons each game (regardless of survival or death). This would mirror the killers addons. The only issue then would be should survivors keep their items on death/use since the killers dont obviously lose their power.

@ASpazNamedSteve Basically They're reworking some bloodpoint actions and adding some in for survivors so that they will earn the same per match as the killer.

I'd argue that it was already the pretty equal since killers have to wait out the whole trial, have to do more in the trials, loose all add ons every trial and survivors can get into more matches per hour but It's ultimately to make survivor more appealing to play and help with que times since during bloodpoint events people tend to play killer a lot since killers could earn more in a trial.

@BloodMoneyMerc I'd like that but I think you'd get a lot of complaints that Killers are running the strongest add ons every game, even tho these new changes will most likely up the amount of Keys/Insta heals we're going to see on average.

@SleepyWillo That drastic of a change would most likely turn a lot of survivors away from playing, a big part of this new change they've said is to make survivor more appealing to play to help with que times.

I've leveled up many of my killers to P3 level 50+.. and have hundreds of addons..

Enough addons that it would be physically impossible for me to use. Even on just one killer let alone all of them.

Is it just that you only want to stockpile green, purple and red addons? Can't use those brown ones up at all?

As survivor I use my brown med kits with brown addons all the time... why can't you use your brown addons up as killer? They just aren't the addons you want to use as killer.

What might be a better idea is a way of converting addons that you could never use up into something you could use. Rather that have 100s of thousands of bloodpoints tied up into garbage cause of RNG.

I feel like the gap was more necessary Killers would often need to spend more bloodpoints as you said because of add-ons.

As survivors could easily just get items just by running chest builds and they keep all their items and addons if they've survived a killer does not even with a 4k

Also a killer has to stay in the match until everybody is left whilst a survivor can have multiple matches. Especially on matches that get drawn out you could have survivors that can complete multiple games whilst you're still stuck on one drawn out 1 as the Killer.

I don't know why I feel like if they go too heavily on these changes is going to just be a massive disincentive to play Killer as you could get the same amount of points as a survivor do it more frequently and put in less work

@Volfawott It'd also mean that it'd be more common to play against survivors running very rare/ultra stuff and I don't know about you, but running against fully outkitted survivors are pretty.. not fun.

They need more people to be playing survivor though, both now and in events.

I think it incentivises playing survivor, not disincentivises playing killer. I've always been a killer main and nothing can change that, definitely not this change.

    @TRB124

To say that items can't change the tide of battle is stupid.

An insta heal can extend the chase or even completely reset the progress that the killer did to down a survivor.

The right toolbox can be used to complete gens really quickly or depending on your build get really clutch sabotages.

A flashlight can be used to extend the chase or once again completely reset the progress that the killer made downing a survivor.

But I'm not even asking for compensation I'm simply stating that I understand why killers in general and more points because in reality they need more points
