My problems/feedback about Ghostface (rework suggestion).

While i consider Ghostface to be arguably balanced. I personally believe that he is not fun for several reasons.

I will point out my personal gripes with him and propose a rework that will make him more fun, balanced and unique.

Problems:

1. He lacks any sort of uniqueness. Not only is he very similar designed to Myers (note that Ghostface was meant to be a Myers parody) he also lacks any really unique mechanics except for the lean mechanic, which is another problem.

2. His lean mechanic feels wonky and buggy. Its not usable on many tiles and corners and you can often use it in the chase by hugging a wall while looking at the survivor in the right angle.

3. He is not fun to play nor fun to play against in my opinion. Getting those very quick downs feels cheap and playing a dollar store Myers.

4. The actually fun part of Ghostface, the mindgames aren't a viable option considering the very long cooldown.

5. He doesn't have a high skillcap. Atleast not as high as the Pig.

Rework suggestion:

1. Upon stalking a victim, the victim no longer gains the exposed effect, Ghostface will now gain tokens that allow for one fast vault each (with fast cault i mean pre-nerf Legion speed).

2. Ghostfaces cooldown recovery increases by a whopping 100% during a chase to allow mindgames or target switching.

3. Entering stealth mode during a chase now consumes a token (you will still be able to enter it without any but you will have to chose your tactics wisely if you have a stack).

Let me answer some comments that will inevitably pop up.

1. How many stacks should GF be able to keep and gain from a target?

IDK, test and see.

2. Wouldn't it create a similar situation like Legion?

No, you can still deny him any tokens nor does he have a mangled effect forcing survivors to M1 while Legion gets looped.

3. What are the counters to a fast vaulting GF?

You can try to juke him or try to force him to consume his tokens, this may not prevent you from being downed but GF should have the upper hand, you failed to spot him already and someone should pay the price for it.

He has to deal with two health states with this change and waste time amassing token this will never scale to red ranks. Your creating a timesink for a single hit. This idea is worse then current gf.

As for instadowns feeling cheap I fundamentally disagree. From both a killer and survivour perspective the stealth instadown is a huge tension builder. Does billy or bubbas instadown feel cheap no there earned.

Gf has to maintain line of sight and approach cautiously so he can stalk effectively his counterplay of stealth breaking is imo terrible since it makes him a worse myers. With none of the advantage myers has. His power needs less counterplay.

Its also frustrating since you hand control of your power to survivours. Sirvivours can deny his power by breaking los and forcing him to sink more time into stalking. If iwas to add counterplay id make his stalk gradually decrease over time and even then this change might be unnecessary since he would likely still be mid tier due to a lack of mobility built into his kit.
