Distressing buff?
What if distressing made the so it doesn't increase/decrease in intensity as you get closer to the killer? i mean it might be too much of a buff on its own, but i would like to see a perk that did this and i think distressing would be the most fitting.

I'm scared about any change to Distressing; it's been part of my Trapper off-build since the beginning.
Distressing is an OG perk, with the original point seeming to be that it gave survivors more warning that you were close, in return for giving you the Deviousness boost. It worked well with Unnerving Presence, that made skill-checks more difficult but in return giving survivors more opportunities to increase progress. This works extremely well in lower ranks where people were not ready for it, whilst giving you a useful-read in mid-rank about which survivor was the weak-link.
The game has changed however and I don't think BHVR anticipated killers would develop the build of 'hiding inside your own expansive terror-radius' as it covers a huge part of some maps. Distressing gave survivors a chance to hide, but they don't even try hiding any more anyway and often won't leave a gen until they see the killer, so killers use it to confuse and ambush instead.
The devs rarely give killers anything without also taking something significant away. It could be the Deviousness boost, it could be its synergy with other perks or something like Unrelenting where the entire purpose of the perk was destroyed.

There being a difference saddens me. They need to raise the BP caps in-game so that BP boosters actually do something.
