Hope and Existence

As we continue to play survivor and killer, I have always pondered:

As we continue to play, are we torturing the survivors or saving them?

The survivors lore-wise repeats the same trials, suffering from fear and pain again and again. But if we stop playing survivor, do the survivors cease to exist and lose hope? When survivors lose all hope, their hope is consumed by the Entity and thrown into the void. So are we decreasing their hope or maintaining their hope and existence by playing endless trials as survivors? Sorry if this doesn't make sense to you all, it makes sense for me. :/

Not sure what benefit it is to play as the killers besides either torturing the killers from killing or helping the killers kill happily (E.g. Clown, Michael Myers, Ghostface), but do they also go to the void if they are no longer viable?

I think we are continuously torturing the survivors, giving them hope, pain and going through an endless loop. If we all stop playing survivors or killers then i think everything will go to the void. Without survivors, the killers have to wait in their bubbles endless. So it's like queue times the killers wait for survivors, but without them they wait an eternity or quit and go in the void...I hope this makes sense.

The lore is the entity is putting the survivor through the trials to give them hope so that when they finally lose all hope the entity can devour them. At least i think thats the official lore

Posted before i finished, i don't think there is a happy end for the survivors. They either get devoured remain trapped or potentially become like the killers.
