The damn auto aim
I swear to god this mechanic needs to have a toggle, it's so. B a d. The amount of games I've lost cuz of this damn feature is ridiculous. It happens when u lunge at the survivor, but it auto aims a few inches away from the survivor, resulting in a whiff. And no I don't go the full range of the lunge, I literally start it, and it stops abruptly as soon it's about to get to the hit zone, please fix this.

Happens a lot when people chase you for them to go for the save; face directly on them with zero obstruction and it'll turn your camera 90 degrees to hit the person on the hook allowing for a free BT unhook with zero repercussions.

What you're referring to is not auto aim. This is a common misconception.
The only "auto aim" that directs your swing is nurse with her blink attack, that's it.
The "appearance" of an auto aim is the game adjusting your swing to animate a hit or miss. Whether your attack was going to land was already determined before you even saw this. There is nothing to fix.

@Blueberry Wow, really? Today I learned. It looks so strange sometimes. I'll go for a hit and it curves to the survivors side. Better yet, on PS4, a survivor will turn little circles in front me during a chase causing my swing animation to freak out.

Auto-aim is either a blessing or curse when I play Nurse. It either gives me hits that I don't deserve and other times it abruptly stops my lunge, causing a whiff.

Rly? Oh. But then why does the swing animation try to lock on to the rising body of the entity sacrifice animation? I just don't understand why the animation just abruptly ends when I'm about to hit someone, causing a whiff

It follows it when the entity is taking the body away because it registered the survivor as "being hit" at the time you swung and the animation was making the weapon connect with the survivor to show you that it indeed did hit.
The swing is following the survivor because it DID hit, not following the survivor so it WILL hit. You see what i mean?
