Why just honestly why.
Why when i go to close a hatch and im there before the survivor is theres such a stupidly long pause before i can even start the closing mechanic thats honestly terrible design the fact that i cant close the hatch because of some stupid delay honestly stupid.
Also Keys Need a Serious Nerf Honestly whether it be to how many people can Escape or what do something about this its just not fair at all you've basically made hatch a survivor sided mechanic just run and hit m1 free escape no real counterplay to it and if the killer closes hatch just use a Key for the free escape great idea honestly well thought out end game.

Why is it a killer can close the hatch after I start to jump into it? I think the prompt should appear for both at the same time and whoever presses it first gets in. It's already hard enough as it is to find and get to the hatch before the killer so I don't think he should be able to cancel your escape animation. They said they removed the hatch grab and yet if you're jumping into the hatch and the killer can close it, that pretty much seals your fate.
Keys could probably be rarer but if that's the case than so should moris.
The amount of times I or a teammate escape from the hatch is probably 1 in 20 games. The vast majority of the time the killer finds and closes it first.

There is?
I shut them immediately.

Oh and the amount of time more than one survivor gets out with the hatch is exceedingly rare in my experience as both survivor and killer.

I wish thats how it worked for me but because of some awful delay i cant close the hatch and the survivor gets the free escape. I disagree it should be who finds it first and how to fix it is take the delay away its dumb.

I found hatch as a feng was running to it she still had some distance i hit the key to close it and billy sorta just stood there a second then went to close it and she got it for free...

Don´t cry. Kill them faster
4 -
Cry? Im pointing out something that shouldn't exist in the game to begin with but because behavior feels that survivors need "every chance" in the world to escape they made a mercy mechanic i can tell you've never been above rank 15.

I was a Survivor and crawled to hatch, it showed the jump animation, my friends even saw it, and yet mid way through the hatch was closed and I was returned to the ground, the Ghostface let me open gates and instead of letting me leave, he kept me on the ground to wait to die by the Endgame timer.

The thing is i get that situation but if i legit get the close animation but it does nothing thats a problem and i guess people can argue its a latency thing but its really dumb that i basically got a FU and have a nice day from the game.

Run Franklin if ur worried bout a key
1 -
You are aware that actually does nothing when someone can just go and pick it back up right?
Also thats basically saying take a meta perk off to put a useless perk on that in the grand scheme of things does nothing.

If you get there first jump in

You are aware that Franklin decreases the uses right. A key doesn't need a Nerf you got the closing hatch mechanic and egc went into the game. What more do you want
2 -
Oh god forbid it barely takes away uses you are aware that does nothing vs a key right? a toolbox yeah but whats the downside to a key?
Survivors get Priority over hatch,Survivors can also run perks to get a pretty decent chance to find a key had a friend find a key 7 games in a row,EGC was added to stop those who seek to troll

But after all that you think keys need a Nerf when in reality you can't always get what you want. If it does nothing how come I'm able to keep the key on the floor as killer
1 -
It has nothing to do with not getting what i want more to do with a delay in the first place i see a key almost every game at high ranks and im tired of seeing them. If you are keeping a key in the ground that means you are not paying attention to gens or most likely camping the key.

If ur tired of seeing them take a break then. The delay is coming from the killer internet speed. Tht was ur first statement. The second statement is that you want a Nerf to keys cause your tired of them showing up at high ranks. Killers can close hatch and survivors can open it after they closed it. I don't see a problem with it just seems ur mad bout a key tht can be taken away from them

I haven't experienced a delay with the hatch. Last night i had a game where both me and the survivor went for the hatch before it had a chance to open. As soon as it did i closed it before the survivor could jump in.

Keys are fine as they are. You don't see many keys anyway.
2 -
question for you:
if you say keys are overpowered an should get a nerf... are you considering Moris balanced?
2 -
I dont use Mori's but no i dont.

Moris are not that bad. You have to hook someone before you can Mori them.
As for keys why not make were survivors can't use the key unless they worked on a gens but they would have to have work for one FULL gen.

I dont think the keys need a nerf. They may open the hatch, but unless I'm mistaken, the hatches will still close again after a couple seconds. At least that's what happened to me when I was running for the hatch, the killer closed it, another survivor opened it, and then it closed again while the killer was chasing me. However they should have some sorta prerequisite to use them. The moris require you to hook a survivor first, or kill all the other survivors. A key should only allow one escape, depending on rarity just like moris, and/or require that the survivor either works on the equivalent of 1 full generator, or helps distract the killer long enough.
I do understand the annoyance tho, cuz right now a survivor could just hide in a corner or a locker all game, and then slip out of the hatch after the killer closed it again. But making it so the key needs like a time charge to work could be a good balance.

ill give keys if you give moris up
2 -
(I play more survivor than killer, but I play both)
Keys are annoying, ESPECIALLY in an SWF but the amount of times I have seen it go off is pretty low, like a 1 in every 50 games. An ebony mori is 20x more annoying and seen more often. If keys go, then ebonys should to imo.

Keys do work depending on rarity. A green key is completely useless. At least all moris let you kill the survivor...
0 -
Keys are virtually impossible to find when on the ground. Even if you know where one ws dropped by a survivor they are almost impossible to see.
Hatch mechanic is very killer sided at the moment. I've closed it a half dozen times as the survivor is mid-jump. I dont understand how you can want them to be anymore killer sided without just removing them entirely?
Is this a troll post? Honest question. I cant tell at this stage.
