Cul-de-sac Map

Developers talked about wanting more maps in the suburban style of Haddonfield. (A long time ago.)

Now they can't name the location of any additional maps Haddonfield due to copyright or whatever, i'm not an expert on those things, they can't is the point.

But that shouldn't stop this idea.

JUST AN EXAMPLE, CAN'T STRESS THAT ENOUGH!

But the main things to include would be:

  • A street that turns into a hollow circle
  • Houses align the circle and a little bit of the straight part.
  • Backyards for all houses.

Now of course, as you can see, making a cul-de-sac might result in there being way too many houses available for Survivors.

But not to worry: Haddonfield replaces some locations where houses could be and puts down a playground instead, or a micro-park with benches, or just grass even.

And not all houses would be open either, just like on Haddonfield.

You might be able to reach the porch on some, but the doors would still be boarded shut.

The Exit Gates could be at anyone's backyard, but could also be at the start of the street.

There would always be a Generator in the center, being open and exposed the whole time while you repair it.

The other Generators would be randomly spread across houses & yards, maybe even on the start of the street.

Some backyards would be bigger btw, due to how DbD creates maps.

The ones in the top-left & top-right corners would have big backyards, while the ones facing eachother at the circle would have small ones.

There'd be some cars, some garages, some garages with cars.

It wouldn't NEED a shack btw, but i wouldn't mind it being here anyway.

I definitely wouldn't mind seeing a [exit-]gated community. The aesthetics of Haddonfield with some of the layout of Springwood, maybe an empty pool tile for some new movement interaction, loops around the houses and stretches in the center and edges.
