Hag lunge

I bought hag 2 days ago and I am having problems with the lunge after the teleport. First of all, why is this even a feature?
Anyway, how do yuo guys deal with it?

Currently if someone runs into my trap and I teleport, I cant hit them if they just hold down shift, I need to follow them and wait till lunge is up again basicaly (unless in front of pallet/window)

any advice?

If you are going for an Phantasm Hit, the window for it after teleportation is actually rather long. You can chase them for a good 30 seconds and still get the Phantasm Hit in. If you are wanting to strike right away, you would have to acquire a addon which makes it so your Phantasm does not appear when tripped. It will still allow you to teleport there, but the Survivor will not know until you appear and swing into them.

Make sure to place your traps to distrupt their movement, usually slightly sideway in a hallway and such. And make sure to mash CTRL as fast as you can.

I've been having instances where a survivor is further away than they should be and I swipe at air. It might not be just your trap placements.

In my case it is either good survivors or bad mechanics after the patch.

You don't want to insta-lunge after a teleport, but to relocate yourself (see clearly the survivor, like the Nurse) then less than 1 second after you teleported, lunge. You need to build again your speed, teleport sets you back to 0 speed.

It also depends of your trap placement, where the survivor is looking. If they go back to you - you can lunge. If they are "pushed" away from the trap, use it as a way to catch up then you play like a casual killer. This is also why you need to work with bodyblock, "pulls away" traps and such.
