Change how ‘Taking One For the Team’ achievement works ahead of Bill’s console launch

Hello BHVR, I’m excited to see Bill coming to consoles. I have a hope that the ‘Adept Bill’, ‘Taking One For the Team’ and ‘Left For Dead’ achievements on Steam will also be brought to Xbox One and PS4.

However, I’m concerned about ‘Taking One For the Team’ and what must be done to unlock it. You see, the description says “Take a hit near a hook in order to protect another survivor 250 times”, but everyone says all around that the achievement requirement is very troublesome: To make it count, players need to unhook a survivor THEN take a hit for the survivor we just unhooked, while near the hook. It must also be a Protection scoring event of 200 points, or else the hit won’t count towards the achievement. This makes it inconsistent, random and frustrating. The way the achievement counts the hits should be changed, across Steam, Xbox One and PS4.

Please tweak it so it becomes consistent the following ways:

  • Any Protection scoring event near the hook should be counted towards the achievement. If we’re two or more survivors are within a determined area around the hook and we take a hit, this Protection hit should be counted.
  • When the killer is carrying a survivor, if we block the hook and the killer hits us, this hit should be counted.
  • If we have Borrowed Time perk equipped and we unhook someone, the rescued survivor getting hit near the hook - while having the Borrowed Time’s endurance effect applied - should be counted towards the achievement, as the perk protects the survivor one hit from the dying state.

I truly hope that you consider this feedback and make Bill enjoyable, including his achievements, when it drops on consoles. Thank you!
