Disconnect Suggestion

Hey there! Long time survivor player. I've been thinking about disconnect issues for a bit now, and something came to mind.

Whenever the rest of the team sees someone has disconnected, it instantly 'tilts' them; upsets, angers, or otherwise reels them and puts them in a state of mind where they might play below their usual ability or perhaps will stop trying altogether.

My suggestion is to completely remove both the disconnection sound and down in the survivor HUD. The only place a player can see or become aware of another disconnecting is if they a) visibly confirm it or b) see the disconnection icon in the ESC menu instead of the survivor HUD.

The thinking behind this is to avoid the 'tilting' mentality that may or may not cause the other members of the team to give up.

So they get to feel bad that they lost without realizing they were playing a handicap?

It's WAY too late to police people acting like entitled chimps. That's the backbone of the community now. Everyone growing up is a pipe dream, but treating everyone like untrustworthy children is still an insult.

    That's even worse.

I agree think of 3 people being left you being chased one on the hook. "God damn that other survivor is useless" to only find out they pulled the plug 20 seconds into the match.
