Are new maps or variations planned to expand the existing realms?

@not_Queen @Patricia @Peanits With the "variations" technique, which shuffles the tiles and the main structures, from a single map, Badham Preschool, five more were born: in this way, despite the copyright protecting the locations of licensed characters (in this case, Freddy Krueger), even their realms can expand and reach, or even exceed, the consistency of the three original realms (MacMillan, Autohaven, Coldwind).

Is there a real possibility that this innovative method is also used for Lampkin Lane, Treatment Theater, The Game, Family Residence and Mount Ormond Resort?

More generally, do you have in mind to expand the smaller realms (Crotus Prenn, Backwater and Red Forest included), so as to guarantee a greater variety of settings?

Finally, is there any hope Leatherface and Ghostface will have their own map?

I would love to see more map variations for the smaller realms. I find it odd that some realms only have one map.

LF does have his own map; Grim Pantry is supposed to be "his".

But it seems likely that we'll see the Badham technique applied to other realms in the future.

@Science_Guy According to the English Wiki, Coldwind is the Bubba's unofficial realm: https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Bubba_Sawyer

@Peanits I'm not very good at understanding fluently spoken English, but I seem to have understood, watching the video on Youtube last night, that your answer to this topic is YES: could you confirm that I meant it right? :)

@Entità coldwind is the realm of the hillbilly, grim pantry cane with LF

LF has no map, Grim Pantry is part of the Swamp realm, hence the hag's.

And yeah, new variations of existing maps would be okay. Like a rework of Haddonfield, to avoid the massive killer DCs when they see this map.

That's like saying the plague has no realm because the red forest belongs to the huntress

But the Plague came out with a new map that is part of an already existing realm.

The hag came out with a realm and two maps for herself: Grim Pantry and The Pale Rose.

The hag only game out with the pale rose, the grim pantry came out with the LF dlc

Yes, you got it. We're going to be doing that for the smaller realms, not so much the bigger ones that already have a bunch of maps. Shuffling things around mixes things up a bit, but it's not necessary when there's already unique layouts and buildings.

Realms with a bunch of maps might see a rework still, but they won't get additional variations.

@Peanits Yes, my thought goes to Lampkin Lane, Treatment Theater, The Game, Family Residence and Mount Ormond Resort maps, and to Crotus Prenn Asylum, Backwater Swamp and Red Forest realms: MacMillan, Autohaven and Coldwind don't need extra maps. :)

The DLC only includes the killer. The Grim Pantry was added thru the patch that was released with that killer, yet not as part of the killer DLC.

No maps are added as DLC otherwise it would split the player based between those with/with out dlc. It's the exact same thing they did with the plague.

Yes and no. LF and Grim Pantry came with the same patch. But Grim Pantry is by design related to Hag's lore and has no direction connection to LF. Mostly because he is a licenced killer. So you can't "officially" connect him with an original map.

Plague's map on the other hand has a clear connection to her backstory and previous life, while beeing "misplaced" by the entity in the Red Forest.

And Father's Campbell is only the Clowns map, because he is "visiting" that place. Lorewise it's connected to Nurse's backstory, which is kinda neat how this map is still connected to both killers compared to the Temple map, which is more kinda random mix of Red Forest and Temple.

the level is called grim pantry is because it was used to store human flesh for cannibals. Saying that the level has no connection to a killer called the Cannibal would be a little bit strange.

Thompson House basically feels like a Sawyer House inspired map so that’s good enough for me.

A supermarket map like from the ghostface trailer would have been nice.
