Hex ruin would be fine if it didn't had a stop in progress.
The whole idea of ruin is fine, the loss of 5% progress is ok if it didn't have that additional stop in progress after hitting the skillcheck. That actually resumes in a loss of more that 5%. Not to mention that progress stop also affects you when someone else hits a skillcheck.
If right after hitting the skillcheck and losing 5%, the progress just continues as normal then this perk would be more balanced.

Then it wouldn't be worth using. You wanna take away the pause you also gotta take away the Hex status

I don't see why it wouldn't be worth it, the 5% loss still happens which is what the description of the perk says. That pause mean a loss higher that 5% which a don't think is fair

Then let them reword it to say there's a few seconds of no progress too. Overall the game can't afford to nerf Ruin without also nerfing overall gen progress

Ruin is perfectly fine as is.

Ruin is ok i mean you can destroy it or learn the skill checks.

i agree, its the pause what makes it annoying, maybe remove it and make it an 7/8% decrease so killers wont complain

If they took away the pause and the hex status i would be uber happy on both sides.
i hate the pause so much its just not fun like it literally creates deadness on the gen and i usually just hop off and spin in a circle.
if it was just 5% regression upon normal skillchecks then i could deal with that, i'd just consistently hit greats (which i 99% normally do) and power through the gen as usual

Not to mention when you get another skillcheck during that pause you just lose more progress

Yeah I woul agree with this, remove the pause and make ir 7%

I'd be happy to trade that stall time in for it becoming more resistant somehow, like an ability you need to actively counter.

I don't mind to remove it if the penality get higher ... Because currently with the strength of gen rush, it is not really a big trouble.
