I made this post for the sake of the lunar event this year in DBD including the cosmetics. Enjoy!
I KNOW dead by daylight doesn't do exclusives anymore because they don't want people to feel left out or buy them online. But what about the moonrise event from this year? People like me at rank 5 at the time had to grind hard to earn lunar vessels and earn the cosmetics. Sometimes it became stressful. Just to see after the event, the outfit to goes for $10. Really? You can't just give people WHO WERE THERE FOR THE EVENT the cosmetics? Instead the devs chose to give it out for money. This defeats the entire purpose of the event. I could go on and on with these things but cmon devs. I felt like this needed to be spoken about even know it isn't the biggest thing out there. I just hope the devs get this message. Please stop selling event items for money...

While exclusives are nice I dont see the harm in them selling them for $10 as some may not have been able to play in the event due to other commitments.
$10 dollars just gives those with disposable income a way to get an item and keeps the money coming in to pay off the DBD debt and keep the game being worked on so why not? cosmetics afterall are nothing in a game its just a different look. Take any past event skins and really apart from the hallow blight killer ones due to them looking amazing and maybe the Feng dress how often do you honestly see people wearing the others?
The devs have already said they dont want to do anymore exclusives skins and anything and everything will be on the market place in some shape or form. Quite frankly it makes no difference to me as I played events for the extra bloodpoints mostly and the skins are just an added bonus and something else to grind while I am playing.

I don't think this will be deleted. It's just generic whining about optional cosmetics with no gameplay impact. Not really something noteworthy.
You got a free cosmetic for the Moonrise event. Nice. Now people can pay for it. Who cares? I guess I'd understand more if it was something similar to a ranked reward offered by other games, but it's just a harmless event cosmetic. Meh.

I wouldnt put it past them in all honesty but I think the saving grace for that shirt is they couldnt really charge $10 for it as thats a complete outfit price.

The point of the event was to get the cosmetics for free. Doesn't seem something to complain about.
Also, aren't you a bit late? The Moonrise event was months ago.

I mean, they didnt bring back the howling grounds Huntress mask and the david jacket so I doubt theyll bring The Pro-Pain billy hammer and the Kate summer top back @Carpemortum

True. I just remember starting playing during that event and earning it on my first "main". Was so excited.

Non-issue. let people buy it, more cash cows giving BHVR money means more effort being put into the game in the long haul.

I think a compromise would be a recolor of the Event Skin, or have something missing or something different on the paid cosmetic that the Exclusive doesn't.
I love seeing Survivors or Killers play with Exclusive skins, when I see a Billy with the BBQ hammer, I know that person loves to play Billy and worked HARD to get that cosmetic. When I see someone with the Hallowed Blight cosmetics I have to ask myself if they bought it or earned it, it isn't impressive to see someone with a cosmetic that they bought nor does it reflect their status or tell everyone BOI I'M JACKED!!!
But I understand no one wants to be left out, it's a bad feeling. So maybe the paid version can be somehow different than the Exclusive?

In no way shape or form does selling event cosmetics defeat the purpose of events. You grinded hard for those skins? Congrats you get them for free and that’s the whole point. You don’t have to pay $10 for them now. They don’t need to be exclusives.
And like you said yourself exclusives only make people feel left out and discouraged, so why exactly do you want them. Just want to feel special?

I always make sure to sign in and disagree with posts like this because I can't really voice my concern seriously enough. I've found that I personally have gotten into games late on occassion and it feels terrible to have of the skins be locked away due to events without any way to ever get them again rather than just paying money. I feel like the opportunity of the event is to get a skin by literally playing the game rather than paying shards or money while also making bonus bp on the side as well. Allowing our skins to be purchasable at all times makes new players feel like they have access to just as many things and just as many ways to support the developers.
It should never be a mine forever yours never mentality friend, let more people have things.

Although you right to a degree he still can whine its his opinion but I do agree since it has no gameplay impact in the slightest bit this is not noteworthy tbh in my OPINION.
