So is blocking the basement during end game collapse holding a game hostage?
I was just in a game on auto haven where a legion body blocked the basement in the 2 story shack on auto haven ( it has a door frame so you can still body block as killer ) and he locked 2 survivors in it as end game collapse was about 30 % though. And he didn't let them leave in till about 10 seconds on the timer was left. Isn't this known as holding a game hostage?

Nope. They technically has a natural means of ending the game, through death, so it's not a hostage situation. Holding it hostage only counts if it would force a DC

No, game literally ends in fixed timer of 2 minutes.

No. The game's coming to an end.

That was the rescuer fault. They got what they deserved. Well played Legion.
Thanks for the tip

You can't even do it now: basement stairs were recently made wider, so killer cannot effectively bodyblock now.
But anyway, now, if it cannot be done indefinitely, it's not "holding the game hostage". It would be the case without EGC.

I thought they "fixed" basement blocking by shrinking killer collision on those stairs?
Its not bannable because it cannot happen anymore.
The other posts were right, though.

Next time if you see hostages just call the police.

Y'all missed where he said it was in the doorframe, a piece of the map(not a piece of the basement specifically) that DIDN'T get altered to make room.

I love how now, after the introduction of EGC, there are so many "hostage" complaints.
People don´t really know how that used to be. Being forced to leave or stay in a match for 1+ hours.

I've been playing this game for around 9 months, I was just curious because I've never had a hostage situation so I don't know how they work

Its funny how most people don't even know what holding the game hostage even is... Slugging or doing anything during egc has no potential to last indefinately and thus is not holding hostage.

You can if their is a door frame blocking it, which was the case, understand it isn't Hostage holding

It's not taking the game hostage, but considering they changed the basement stairs the devs will probably fix the remaining basement entrances that make it possible. When they change the stairs they're clearly not fans of it, but it's not against any rules unless you block all the survivors down there BEFORE EGC gets activated and just wait for them to DC or something.

since its running on a timer that will forcefully end it, it is not taking the game hostage.
its rather just a douchebag move from the killer.

Just give the rating and let the devs decide. I play on Console so literally none of the postgame ratings even matter, so it's not like it will change. They make changes to appease the top 1%.
