Killer Ranks vs Killer Experience

I have recently come back to the game and it has certainly evolved tremendously since I've been gone (left a few months after nurse was released). With as many changes as the game has undergone I was wondering if there was any kind of system in the works that would rank killer individually instead of across your entire account? I have leveled and ranked with the doctor, clown, ghostface and nurse - I feel they're pretty "noob friendly" but when I play killers I have no clue how to use I still get ranked against red/purples and get roflstomped.

I absolutely know this is a case of "GIT GUD" and I really am trying but how am I supposed to learn a new killer (for me) when I'm matched against high rank meta survivors? I don't really get much of a chance to learn the ins and outs of a killer I don't use normally. Any chance individual killer ranks are going to be a thing?

TLDR: I know it's a GITGUD issue but just because I am decent at say doctor doesn't make me automatically good at say huntress. Any chance killers will be ranked individually in the near future?

honestly, i personally wouldnt like that.

it would be literally impossible to get all your killers to rank 1 in one season. also, if you have a personal ranking system, that would mean that you as a rank 1 killer would have 15 "smurf" killers that can be used to stomp low rank survivors, which would be no fun at all to play against - for both.

if you wish to learn a new killer i would recommend you to wait for the monthly rank reset. you can always start a new killer once the game resets you to green ranks and then see how far you can get with that killer during this season.

you can also try to depip as killer (just go in a game and watch some youtube videos while the survivors win and leave) and then start with the new killer once you hit lower ranks.

i personally just go for it and see how it works out! at one point you will stop depiping, which is the current rank you belong to with this killer. just get BP and start leveling some characters while you lose. you also learn how good survivors counter your killer, which can help you ranking up later on!

Playing a killer you are not good at is the "legal way" to de-pip and stay in the lower ranks.

Maybe I'm wrong but they talked about something like that during the anniversary stream? Maybe I'm wrong but they talked about something like that during the anniversary stream?

More than anything we need a practice ground. An offline place where we can just run around with killers (or survivors) and practice. Just a small space is enough (say, corner of a map plus killer shack).

If we want to get all fancy, let’s throw in some optional low level bots to slaughter or evade.

Even better would be an option to select any existing full-size map. This will let any new player learn the area without pressure.

Furthermore, this would help all players when new killers and maps are released.
