A killer tweak in every midchapter?
The Freddy Rework took a year of hard work, with truly admirable results, and in two days we will finally enjoy the new Freddy in the midchapter patch.
Why not turn this event into a consolidated practice? In every midchapter you could tweak some killers in need of love, for example the Nurse, Billy and Bubba (who have no ultra-rare add-ons), the Doctor and Anna (who have only one ultra rare add-on), and even the weaker killers (for example, the Pig, who should have the Rules Set no. 2 as the basekit).

I agree. Small updates can go a LONG way on making some killers absurdly better.

This would be nice. And maybe they just surprise us with a brand new general perk once in a while and don't put it in the patch notes just to add that surprise factor yet again

Im actually looking forward to this. With the Q&A, they said they wanted to tweek some killers and EVERYONE else heard "We wanna nerf Nurse to the ground, mwahaha", while I got excited about the idea of some Doc tweeks.

@LordGlint New generic perks would be very useful to add variety without heavy grind, and I agree the Doctor needs a buff to his basekit, especially the shock therapy area.

I don't get the obsession about ultra rare addons. They could literally just take the existing ones and turn them ultra rare and all the sheep would be happy without noticing "cuz ultra rare".

I'm surprised they don't do this already. A lot of the weaker killers just need some number tweaks or add ons as basekit to be viable. It shouldn't take this long to buff a weak killer. But then again the devs kind of move at a snails pace with those kinds of updates.

@DaS_only Ultra-rare add-ons can be pink, black, rainbow, white, mother-of-pearl or even polka-dot: color is not important. What matters is that there is a symmetry, a balance, a wise distribution of the add-ons into the various levels of rarity, and a reasonable relationship between the add-ons and the basekit power.

We can't guarantee that at least one killer will get changed with each mid-chapter. We do also need to make time for other changes like perk balancing and various other mechanic changes/additions. We'll see what we can do, though.
For the Pig specifically, I wouldn't want to see Rule Set No. 2 as part of the base kit (on a personal level). I use traps to slow the game down, making it not show auras until a generator is completed would encourage the exact opposite. People would want to do a generator so they can see the auras rather than taking their trap off before doing generators. I think it's better off as an add-on. If you want it, you can take it, but if you want to use the traps to slow, you're not forced to have it.

People already do that. No one cares about inactive traps. I see people with traps on their head on generators all the time.
Lorewise it would make more sense to make it basekit. In the movies people could get the key only when the trap was already ticking.

In my idea, maybe wrong, not seeing the auras of Jigsaw's Boxes means spending more time finding them, and therefore staying away from the gens for longer. If, on the contrary, as you suggest, the Rules Set No. 2 weakens the power of the Pig, why on earth is it an ultra rare add-on? XD What's its function, then?

I imagine that moderators / community managers evaluate many factors, not just popularity. I don't know exactly the criteria for assigning the red icon, I'm sorry I can't tell you more. :(

There are people who already do gens in spite of the traps. Those people wouldn't really be impacted. I'm not sure that the people who don't do that already are would be comfortable enough doing it with Rules Set No. 2 active (whether it be base-kit or add-on). If it really were enough to sway a noticeable number of Trapped Survivors who would otherwise not continue working on a gen to actually keep working on gens, that would make Rules Set No. 2 a completely horrible add-on IMO (though I already don't think it's worth the add-on).
