Give Wraith the Freddy treatment

Let him be completely invisible while outside of 32m distance, intermittend "shimmering" from 32-16m and "shimmering" from 16-0m (with "shimmering" I mean half-invis as he is now when stealthed).

Thoughts?

    I think Wraith is fine now. Really. His addons are very good.

    I just don't want some dumb cooldown or stuff in exchange for being invisible as you describe him.

    I thought you were going to suggest giving him the ability to attack survivors while cloaked at the cost of double the hit recovery time, and no lunge attack. Freddy used to be unable to attack at all until survivors were in the dream state, but now he can attack at all times and knock them into it, and that change alone has made him so much more viable. Think of Wraith with this buff and compensation: He doesn't get the speed boost and pursuit potential for a first strike unless he rings his bell to uncloak first, but he gets the ability to smack down an unobservant injured survivor. It would at least validate the flashlight burn mechanic he has since a survivor with a flashlight would have better survivability against him.

    i think other killers could do with a full rework wraith is fine just a bit on the week side without addons there are others whose power is just counter productive now like:

    pig:

    her reverse bear traps have no impending threat unless the survivor dose nothing or the pig harasses them individually while the other survivors just do all the gens and they are inconsistent also her crouch makes her slow and unable to see through tall grass and it just got a nerf in the patch as it no longer counts as a basic attack so on hit effects like token based perks don't count it as a hit anymore.

    leatherface:

    his chainsaw is despite being a one hit attack that can hit multiple survivors is less effective than legions freal frenzy simply because of how its designed you slowdown while charging it if you so much as graze a wall hitbox you are basically stuned for 2.5 seconds

    doctor:

    even though is madness passive effects can be made interesting with addons his base kit shock power dose nothing its range is so short you could just hit them instead and though the shock effect that makes it so you cant vault or drop pallets the way loops are designed right now dose not support it enough to make it effective.

    i understand where you are coming from with the wraith but his power has got a use without addons which allows him to find and approach survivors easily at high speed without making them run or go into hiding its just the 1 second slow movement coming out of stealth which holds him back from being a decent killer

    I think he needs an ability to cloak pallets, and maybe other objects (temporarily).

    I feel like built in Green Windstorm would make him a very solid killer at base.

    I'd like to see the ~Woosh~ noise get removed as well since it could confuse survivors on whether or not he's in stealth mode.


    Imagine hearing a bell, thinking he came out of his Cloak, then later he surprises you while you're on a generator. When you know he's stealthed, you know to be cautious, but if he's not in stealth, you don't have to pay attention. The TR will warn you of his appearance since he's no longer Cloaked.

    Just gonna copy/paste what I've said about him before 'cause I'm lazy -

    • Add yellow or green Windstorm to his base kit and nerf the Windstorm addons to compensate. For a REALLY long time now I've thought he should simply have more base movement speed whilst cloaked, mobility is a huge deal in DBD. This would also allow for a bit more creativity and variety when it comes to which of his addons you can use.
    • Have his shimmer not be visible at a certain distance. Not sure what the exact distance should be, could just say 40m. I just think seeing him cross-map is pretty silly for a killer based around cloaking. This is especially bad on open maps like Blood Lodge.
    • This one seems small and silly, but fix the killer footstep sound effects. For Wraith, Freddy, and probably a bunch of others I'm not sure of, they've been bugged for a long time now. They only play the sound effect of them walking on hollow metal (which unfortunately for him is the loudest sound effect), and don't change according to what you're walking on. This 'buff' is a bugfix but would still help a bit.
    • Be immune to OoO when cloaked. This can apply to GF and Pig in their stealth modes too, but this is a Wraith thread. This perk DESTROYS him, and if you're facing a decent SWF group using it? gg, game's over.

    While cloaked, make him break pallets and generators and vault windows twice as fast. Bug major step for him :D

    No. Remove the slowdown on UNCLOAK. He immediately becomes god tier

    Damn I thought you were gonna ask for a total rework.

    Anyway that would be a bit extreme since unlike Freddy the Wraith doesn't have a heartbeat while cloaked so even the worst player could take people by surprise. I think making him totally invisible beyond 32-40 meters would already be a nice buff.
