A build I like is BBQ, Infectious Fright, Brutal Strength/Save the Best for last, Pop Goes The Weasel

Freddy needs to get survivors in the Dream world so he can teleport more often and use his powers. BBQ and Infectious will give him close range and long range aura tracking. This will ensure he can keep track of survivors, lead to snowballs, and keep people occupied trying to get awake

Weasel is also buffed because you'll know what gens are being done due to BBQ so you can teleport right over and hit the generator. Brutal and Save are great perks to run on any M1 killer. However they are especially good for Dream Pallet Freddy, so you can choose between getting rid of real pallets faster or use STBFL to punish survivors dropping fake pallets even harder

Of course Thrilling Tremors is also quite good so you can replace either brutal/save/Fright with it if you want

There are 2 perks builds I'm using atm when I got to red ranks.

Thrilling Tremors, BBQ, Weasel and Brutal Strength.

This is amazing for Generator Pressure. You'll have some good synergy with Tremors and Weasel. Brutal is great for chases and also synergies with Weasel so you can chase survivors faster after applying Weasel. BBQ is mostly there for points, though it can give you great information on where survivors are halfway across the map. Out of the weakest perks in this build it'll properly be Brutal or BBQ. Haven't decided which yet.

Enduring, Spirit Fury, Weasel and MYC.

Probably his most effective perk set-up. MYC is great combined Freddys mobility and the 2 best anti-pallet perks in the game. This build is more effective with the snares than his pallets, since you can force pallet drops faster.

Add-ons are whatever for both builds really. You can Ruin if you want, I'm personally sick of the perk.

Thrilling Tremors seems a must, as you can see exactly which Gens to warp too on every pick up! :)

I haven't played him yet, but i think a solid build can easly by :

    BBQ/PGTW/enduring/discordance

    This gives you

Two info perks, 2 gameslowing perks and a chase perk

Discordance count both as an info perk and as a gameslowing perk since if they won't work on generator together you will have more time to find them.

I use his mains and BBQ, I'm rank 9 BTW, and get 4/4 almost every game, I need to check this perks for higher ranks though. Blood Warden is amazing, lol.

Mine's just Enduring and Spirit Fury to chew through pallets super fast (Really good with a pallet addon) and BBQ and Pop Goes The Weasel for both more points, and so after hooking someone, I can see which gens are being worked on, teleport over to it to scare the survivor off, and kick it to regress it with Pop.

Pop has always been a weird perk. Originally deemed a "Well it would have been good if the timer lasted longer!" perk, the timer was buffed and it became a solid perk on most killers and not just Nurse and Hillbilly. On Freddy it is absolutely nuts.

It's one of those things were a perk really shines on one killer. BBQ N' Billy, Ghostface with Nurses Calling, Thanatophobia on Plague, MYC on Hag, M&A on Myers, and now Freddy with Pop Goes The Weasel. Heck I think Tinkerer instead of BBQ would be even better because you could maximize your pop kicks on gens about to be completed.

Seeing that many people run Brutal Strength, is the time save better than with Enduring? I tend to go for Enduring on most killers because I find the reduced stun time more useful in chases. Is Brutal better on Freddy?

My current is PGTW, BBQ, Discordance and Enduring. Discordance is amazing combined with the Teleport. I could probably drop BBQ, but I'm using it for the BP :D

I've been running BBQ, Ruin, Pop, Discord, and Swinging Chains. Last add-on I've been trying different stuff, but I think Nancy's Masterpiece is the best. I heard Thrilling Tremors is good for him too if you combo it with Pop. Once I get around to dumping some more BP into Freddy for TT I'm gonna swap it for Discord.

People say his snares are bad aren't using them correctly. They are VERY strong if you place them right. That means putting them at loops in spots where it's impossible to avoid if the survivor wants to run that loop. It can cut the loop short easy. And if it's a super strong loop, like house loops on Haddonfield, you just set a few of them and now the loop is shut down.

Pallets are indeed stronger, but they rely on survivors falling for it. Right now that's all the time because all this is new, but trust me in a month when survivors learn how to play around fake pallets they won't be nearly as effective. Snares are just way more reliable even if they ultimately are not as strong as fake pallets.

Sloppy is also a good pick. And so is SF/Enduring. Have yet to really try a lot of other stuff yet.

Yes definitely. Some maps are pallet deserts where you don't even get value from the add-ons.

There are also some tactics that hard counter pallets. Rainbow Maps or Maps with yellow twine will reveal fake pallets when you are asleep, as they are killer belongings. WOO can be used to determine where the real pallets are when awake, so you can more easily remember which ones to use, or if a real pallet was already used. And then there is SWF. One tactic my friends and I discovered, is when 2 survivors are on different sleep cycles, they walk around together and the awake one will point out if a pallet is real or fake. If it's fake the sleeping one will drop it. Then before the awake one falls asleep, they snap/clap the other awake, and switch roles. It's really kind of just a waste of time since you should be doing gens but it can be used to seriously crush fake pallets if the Freddy is really good or the group keeps falling for the fake pallets.
