Opinions you used to have (but don't anymore)
Did you have any opinions (on DBD) way back when that you don't stand by anymore?
As a wee baby killer and survivor, I used to think that:
(1) Urban evasion is the best perk in the game and I can't live without it.
(2) A player with perks from several characters is a veteran. "Oh look she's got perks from Nea, Claud AND Meg. No wonder I couldn't catch her, she's played this game forever."
(3) Looping is broken and impossible to counter. Also me: *switches direction every second at safe loops*

Used to think pig was overwhelmingly powerful because she had 2 abilities. Turned out I was just bad at running
3 -
I used to think doctor was op xdd
3 -
Freddy is OP.
I started out playing this game in KYF with my friends. And my friend had bought the Freddy DLC. We remember just thinking #########, how are we supposed to know where he is, he is invisible! So unfair! One friend (who plays only Dwight) just hid in lockers all game against 'm
Once I actually started playing online, and reading up on his abilities I started understanding how to counter him.

@ClogWench hahaha <3

Back to when i was a complete noob:
Urban best perk
Doctor op
Bbq broken op
Self care a must have
Noed? More like ######### get rid of this perk already

Old opinions :
1 Nurse is no way the best killer in the game, she is way to easy to juke ( me after watching rank 15 Nurses playing ).
2 Hex:Ruin + Hex:Thrill of the Hunt is the best combo in the game.
3 Self Care and Sprint Burst are the best perks in the game.
4 Adrenaline and Dead Hard are bad and overrated perks.
5 Huntress is a top 3 killer ( I didn't believe that anymore after Spirit was buffed in the mid chapter ).
6 Billy is the second best killer ( I start to believe Billy isn't that good and Spirit is better, especially after they fixed sounds).
7 Trapper and Clown are mid tier.
I could go on, but these are the most important ones.

1. The urban invasion one for me too. Now I rarely use it. Still like it, but I can definitely live without it now.
2. Killer stuns are very rare and hard to get. (I remember celebrating my first stun of a killer like I won the lottery or sth)
3. Trapper does always step in his own traps, so I'd always go around a freshly set trap until I saw Trappers setting them & walking over them afterwards.
4. I used to do all gens in one area because I was happy I could find a gen at all and did not think about consequences.
5. Did not understand that there is a sound cue before skillcheks.

Mostly it's survivor stuff. They have a lot of perks that feel really good when you're using them, but when you stop and get used to other things you work out they're actually pretty garbage and hold you back a lot. For me it was the big 3; Sprint Burst, Self Care and Urban Evasion.

Survivor being fun.

I used to get angry for pallet looping Survivors and I used to facecamp few of them for just that. Looool.

I preferred Leatherface to Hillbilly.

Opinions I used to have?
-I used to think Pig was terrible.
-I used to think the Legion change was a buff.
-I used to think that Spirit required a lot of skill.
-I used to think that Breakdown was OP.
-I used to think that Deliverance was a weak Perk.
-i used to think Diversion was Adam's strongest Perk.
1 -
i thought killers held the power role...
ye, when the halloweed dlc dropped i already didnt believe in that anymore xD
2 -
Used to think killer were OP then I used to think survivor but now I think both are OP in the right or wrong hands.
1 -
Urban evasion = invisible
I need s e l f c a r e
Leatherface was op
Flashlights were used for looking around so I kinda just shined it at walls and the floor
Adrenaline was useless
If a survivor had legacy they were gods

Not really baby moments but:
-I used to think Nurse was balanced
-looping was OP
-Spirit was hard to learn
-if I lost then it was because the game was unbalanced and not my mistakes.
2 -
@GrootDude I haven't grown out of this one yet T-T
"-if I lost then it was because the game was unbalanced and not my mistakes."

I used to think that the devs will manage all the bugs one day.. Well, here we are 3 years later

Used to believe in 2016 that wraith was OP.... old times, wish i could go back.
1 -
I used to think I couldn't live without Self Care, until I realized it was actually Bond that I couldn't live without. :D

Legion is good.

I used to think that Starbreeze is the reason unfinished, broken content is expunged into the game
Oh how wrong that was

I used to think that you can't escape a very good nurse main even while playing swf

I used to think old Freddy was bad, until I learned to play him. Now I miss him.

That Doctor is a powerful killer with a power that counters looping

Whoa there, Spirit takes skill!
Not to derail the thread, but she does.
I used to think Wraith was OP, and Adrenaline sucked.

I thought Trapper was a really strong killer.
I thought NOED was a fair perk and gave me kills I deserved lmaooo.

Selfcare > Adrenaline
Thank you Devs for Legion and Selfcare nerf

Used to think P3 survivors (survivor main here) meant they were good at the game. Same goes for survivors with bright cosmetics.
Also thought I couldn’t play a game without self-care; it’s now my most least-used perk.

I thought advanced looping was still really easy, but I've since learned that it is not.

"Man, she's so hard guys, I have to use my ears instead of my eyes!"
"Wait, what's that? You can still use your eyes because the indications Survivors leave become much more visible when they themselves aren't?"
"..."
"I have to use my ears instead of my eyes, guys! Come on! Spirit is haaaaard!"

I thought Noed on Huntress was a good idea
I couldn't play without premonition lol

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

I used to believe that Self-Care was one of the most broken perks in the game, resulting in me loathing everyone who used it. I ended up never using it due to that.
1 -
Used to think Blood Lodge was a killer sided map because of how open it was. Then I realised why they called it 'Pallet Town'.
2 -
use to think camping is a strategy cus I was a blind killer till.. I met BBQ and chilli
1 -
- Billy is Op
- Legion's "rework" was a good job
- Noed op
- Sprint Burst Op
- Self care Op
- Urban evasion was the best perk
- Small game sucks (I love it now)

I used to think that killers can't hit you when they were 3 meters from you.
0 -
Count me in for UE... still love it but can do without it now.
After playing against a few decent Nurses, I thought she was "OP" :D Now I know better.
I knew about scratch marks, but I thought they only appear when you're injured.

Yeah I'm starting to see that too. Kinda sad.

Never knew how to drop stuff
Mained wraith thinking he was a god(before the addon changes and windstorm being base kit)
Thought flashlights were op
Thought the double t-wall jungle gym was op
Thought lerys was a fun map
Thought billy was terrible.
Thought survivors with different unique perks were ultimate gods and same for any bloody clothes
When i played wraith i thought his power was useless and never used it. Same for billy.
Thought killer was fun. Boy was i wrong.

No one can be blamed for using what the game gives them to win; it's the devs responsibility alone to make sure the game is fair and fun for everybody.
Then the knee-jerk nation attacked.
1 -
1. Flashlight saves were impressive.
2. 360's were easy.
3. SC was OP
4. Legacy was ugly as [BAD WORD]
5. Looping was hard.
6. Huntress was broken.

Self care and urban evasion are good perks.
Noticed theres nothing more useless.
0 -
Old opinions:
- I should try my hardest not to camp or tunnel because it's unfun for survivors
- Self care is mandatory
- Surviving is my main objective
- I should just stick to gens and let others save
- Doctor is a viable killer
- NOED is a good perk
- Flashlights are a problem
- If I don't run urban all the time, I'm gonna face only hags and trappers whom I hate.
