Nerfed killer lunge is stupid.
I mean i know it's now meant to match the animations but i can't help but express how stupid the lunge is now for killers, i keep missing hits i would otherwise land and it's been throwing me off during chases, and i'll even lose chases now and the survivor will make it over to a pallet because of it.
Do i seriously have to use Unrelenting because of this, it's going to take me awhile to get used to the new lunge mechanic or maybe i'll never get used to it, i guess i'll have to get up right behind a survivors ass to confirm hits.

To my knowledge, they haven't touched the mechanics of the lunge, just the visuals.

Lunge is exactly the same only appearance on survivors side changed like Dehitay said.

The changes included
Matching visuals to better fit the animation
Can no longer cancel a lunge early
Stupid little auto tracking at the end of the lunge that often causes you to hit walls when going around corners (really hate this one as it screws you out of a hit a ton)

The "tap" attack always had auto aim but the lunge had its auto aim removed. This was recently brought back with the changes that were made and is noticeably horrible. Same goes with console Nurse where it can already be difficult to hit people but now that the auto aim happens you tend to hit so many walls/corners that you would normally have been able to navigate around.

ok let me tell you they did a god awful job at matching the animations to the hitboxes, idk how it affects you negatively tho

The only thing I noticed is the auto aim mechanic has ######### me over 100000 times recently

Its the auto aim that can mess you up when at the corner of a wall or objects hit-box. Because the survivor (the hit-box the auto aim is attempting to track) has gone around the slightest amount of the objects hit-box you are turned and thus collide with the hit-box rather than being able to guide yourself around the edge manually. The best way to see this in action is to play Nurse on console in KYF (or play matches) and see how easily the auto aim portion messes you up in these situations.
When there was no forced auto aim you could easily maneuver around the tip of objects hit-boxes rather than tracking backwards and colliding with them.

They changed lunges, I only notice my lunges ending abruptly when going for a short long lunge, but long lunges are the same
