How me and my friend would try to make every killer as balanced as possible.
Hi. I talked with my friend the other day and we discussed possible changes that could work for every killer to make the game more balanced. Some may like it, some may hate it but personally do i think that this is pretty good changes that could be done. Would love to hear feedback or what you guys think about it.
Ok so lets start with Nurse. What we thought made Nurse dumb is how there is little to no counterplay towards facing her so we thought about what if she started with a amount of tokens that is used to go through walls and pallets etc. So she starts with maybe 30 Tokens which means she can travel through 30 Walls. The tokens will regress over time and she can still teleport without wasting tokens so she still has the map pressure. This is so she can't get free kills with her power all the time. She will still be a problem early game but she will have a more difficult time in the mid to late game and that is if you. This also increases her skill needed since if you miss all of your swings after teleporting through walls will mean that you can't do that any more. You can still mind game and teleport in to the ground so that survivors expect that you will tp towards them. With this change will we also increase her move speed to match the survivor so she isn't slower anymore but not faster either.
With Billy did we decide to introduce a new mechanic. We first talked about lowering his move speed while he was using his chainsaw but that would make him clunky or feel awkward so we had the idea of making it so that chainsaw doesn't oneshot you anymore which will let survivors actually do something and maybe not get cough in a corner if you are hiding from him but this would reduce its cooldown slightly when hitting someone. When somebody gets hit will they get a new effect, no name at the moment. This mechanic has with healing. If you escaped him but got hit by the chainsaw that means that you can't heal until you have made 3 great skill checks and if Billy has ruin up will it not count towards the points. After you have hit 3 skill checks will you be able to heal yourself once again.
Spirit was an easy change. Just make it so that her passive doesn't activate as often. It is a really strong passive after all and it felt like it is upp a little bit to much so increase the cool down slightly.
Make huntress run a little bit faster but still move at the same speed while picking upp your hatch from your pocket. Reduce/fix the hatch/survivor hitbox so that we don't get so many janky hits but to compensate for this, make her hatchets a little bit faster.
Myers is pretty balanced but it feels like he gains tiers a little bit to fast so we would increase how much you needed from a survivor to tier upp but will also make it so the suvivors still has how much you can stalk them as much so you still get the same amount as now. And make it so if you stalk someone who has already been stalked to the max will give you points towards stalking even if you don't gain anything from it.
Ghost face just get rid of the face that hooked and downed survivors can take you out of your power. That's it.
Increase freddy's gen tp slightly and reduce it on the traps and increase the trap slow a bit, it feels like it hardly does anything.
With the Plague did we just want to nerf her 2 add ons that increases how fast you get infected.
Either with the Clown increase his move speed while reloading the bottles or throw them faster. It feels like he is throwing them on the moon or something.
We don't want the old Legion back but we want some small buffs to him to make him a bit better. Make it so you can see scratch marks again with frenzy. Its super easy to lose your target now so that or blood pools. Jump over pallets and windows faster (shouldn't be loopable in his power) And make it so that you can see the deep wound timer just to make it feel better for him and only for his power not unborrowed time.
Make Pig walk full speed in crouched and make it so that people can't escape with the trap on their head but make it so that the timer goes down 75% slower instead of 50% like if someone is downed or hooked.
Ok so Doktor is an interesting one since i know there is a lot of changes that you can give to him with his different tiers and all but all we wanted to do with him is that he walks faster in his Treatment mode and his zap is a bit longer and he will also get a ring around him with his zap. this is so survivors just can't run in to him and dodge it but it wont be very big just a small ring around him.
Trapper is easy. Make beartraps a little bit bigger in range. Make it so that he starts with all of his traps on him and just fix some of his bugs that he has with them.
So Hag might be a weird one but this is what we would change. Decrease the traps to 7 or 8 this is because of another change which is that you can't crouch to avoid her traps. This makes it so that you need to use a flashlight in order to stop her traps. But increase her move speed a little bit to make her better in chases. Also remove the slow that she gets when she teleports to a trap i don't understand why this exists.
Wraith is hard but what we got was make him faster when he is not cloacked so he runs faster than 115% but while cloacked moves at 115 move speed. I don't know what would be good but that can be tested if it should be 120 or something else.
Just make the cannibal chainsaw work like Billy with the bar so you just need to fill it instead of releasing the button. He won't get slower when he is charging upp and remove the cool down that he gets when he hits a wall or just reduce it.
