Please revert the exposed FX
The GhostFace exposed effect was okay on him, because it let you know you were being stalked. It serves no point if Myers gets to T3 on the other side of the map and I get the notification and freak out because it could be me that he's stalking... like really... there was no need for that change, it's not QoL. It's in fact annoying and confusing.

I used to be blissfully unaware that I had the exposed status effect from Make Your Choice. I like the scary noise.
14 -
How could you? You get a nice icon on the right of the screen and a warning on the left.
5 -
I like that change. It gives you more of the "oh im in danger" vibes.
16 -
While I think the noise itself is a bit overdramatic, I'm kinda glad we get a clear notification for make your choice now. I wouldn't exactly miss it though, and I think it could be toned down to be not as banshee.
7 -
I don't know why ppl don't like the new alert. I think it is amazing.
6 -
It kills the Myers feeling, by playing over the Evil WIthin 3 theme. Thats the only thing I find annoying about it.
3 -
The music playing in the background is enough... this overdramatic noise is exactly that.... hell the characters screaming after the save is plenty
2 -
It's scary. I like it

I'm ok with it for Devour Hope, Haunted Grounds, Rancor, Make your choice and Ghostface but Myers should be his own thing. When he hits tier III and the music changes you know shits about to get real. This takes away from that.
9 -
I like it, the little sound just tells you "you better start doing whatever you can to not get caught, because imma coming"
0 -
I think this effect should only happen when myers gets to t3 while he was stalking you, not when he stalked someone else.
0 -
Does it really? Because every time I hear the sound someone is knocked down 150 meters away from me while I go on doing my gen xD
0 -
When all gens were done I just reacted like ######### when I heard that loud sound. But then I realized it was Rancor and that sound really confused me. Same happened at Noed and Myers EW 3. So yes, for Myers they should volume it down a bit at least. But overall I like that intense sound because it's exactly that direction what I want to make this game more intense and spooky.

I have to admit, it's taken me quite a few matches until I've gotten used to this. As of right now I quite like it. I do wish though that it wouldn't affect Myers as it means I can't hear his music when playing as a Survivor because the Exposed noise seems to be much louder - I understand though why it's there for consistency reasons.
6 -
On GF sure. But on Meyers where his T3 WAS scary as a noise, it overrides it and makes his music basically useless other than fan service. It serves no purpose if it isnt what alerts you.
7 -
No, this effect helps me greatly as Michael for example, his song when entering tier 3 is almost inaudible and usually only notice exposed when he chases me
0 -
Okay. Then decrease the noise a lil bit so it's still hearable but doesn't override Myers Music that much. Problem solved :D
2 -
Really? No one ever sees the icons on the screen? I wouldn't mind if it stayed this way, but it's rather invasive.

I don't like the sound because it overpowers the Myers EW3 music.
I also dislike the fact the sound is reused from Ghostface as a generic sound effect. I liked the unique "Oh #########" factor when you realized Ghostface managed to expose you, especially if you had no idea who the killer was until then. With time people are just going to associate it with NOED and nothing else. Just like how whenever I hear the "Player has died" sound effect the mental image I get is a Claudette teabagging at a dream pallet spamming the flashlight, getting downed, and DCing. Heck most people call it the "DC noise" so there you have it.
Same thing will happen with this. Exposed chime will be associated solely with "Baby killer running a crutch perk" and not Ghostface. The "EXPOSED: Hex: No One Escapes Death" was scary enough of a notification and it doesn't need the chime.

Yes it does

I like it. Before when there was just a little skull icon, exposed didn't really seem like a big deal but now it actually feels to me that I'm in danger.

Leave it for everything else but not Michael Myers. He already has his alert and it's the iconic Halloween theme it's as unnecessary on Michael as the red VFX was on pallet stuns
5 -
I like it, it scares me every time. I hope the devs could keep going in the direction with little changes like this because they do make a difference. Bring in the horror!!!
1 -
Maybe they could calm down that visual effect? The noise is alright, but when your vision is even just slightly impaired by it (Which it's more than slightly), now THAT is annoying.
0 -
I just don't like it on Myers. What's the point of the Halloween music if it's just gonna be drowned out by the sound effect?
2 -
I also find this new effect annoying. It fits Ghostface, but I'd prefer to have it removed for the other perks/abilities that give exposed status.
2 -
I like it

Like many others have said I dislike this with tier 3 myers, it makes me wonder if I am the one stalked because that sound is ingrained to Gf stalking me
0 -
yes revert it, i don't like it, but should be unique to ghost face, plus it cuts the evil within 3 fx
0 -
The sound effect is perfectly fine with everything but Myers.
0 -
I'm not a fan. The sound is too muffled, and the tense feeling it is supposed to imbue doesn't really happen unless it's with GhostFace. I just find the effect unnecessary.
Hex: NOED and Hex: DH already gave that "Oh S*" feeling. Adding this new effect makes the UI and soundscape feel overly cluttered, detaching the player from the horror atmosphere being crafted.
It's gaudy, and it's only purpose is to serve as a notification for GhostFace's exposure (the effect should be called Vulnerable instead of Exposed for nearly every reason ever btw), which does not have any other significant notification.

I agree. I don't like the new Exposed VFX. It's too jarring. I don't even get why it's necessary, you get the skull on the side of the screen plus whatever perk is doing it, or you hear music in the case of Myers. Leave it for GF, remove it from the rest. If anything add some sort of animation to the skull icon to draw attention to it. Maybe the icon pulsates when it activates.
And when you make a save against MYC your character will scream when they unhook.
2 -
One day they will come play the game for you.
2 -
I dont like it because it rewards people who arent paying attention
2 -
Yeah, the exposed effect doesn't need that. Or doesn't need that when you're outside of terror radius.
