Mettle Of Man

I'm new at this game but I learn quickly, so, Mettle of Man got nerfed weeks ago. It allows you to take another hit before dying state but to do that you MUST take 3 hits helping others during a chase. I used it and I find it cool having an extra life (everytime my Mettle of Man was active there is nothing to do 'cuz it is a lategame perk). As a killer I didn't find it annoying to play against because "second chances" right?. Now it seems useless at least for me and I dont see worthy this perk (wich is the most powerful Ash perk). It is difficult to reach 3 hits and dont get down. At least, should they rework it? Maybe the deep wound effect? Please, tell me if this perk is good or bad right now:(

Pardon my english haha

Greetings from 🇲🇽!

It really depends on luck, the protection hits is very glitchy right now.

Yeah, they gutted it. It was too strong before, but it's not very likely to come into play now. It isn't even a gimmick perk. I've only gotten it off once, but that was SWF and I was literally running after people to take hits (killer carrying is inconsistent and didn't seem to give stacks), telling people to run straight to a further away loop, etc. Most normal playing, people get caught at loops and not on the way to the next loop and two people at one loop is really messy. Also, I'd often get a "Protection Hit" that wouldn't stack it. Kinda frustrating.

MoM was extremely strong in its original state. If "protection-hit" detection was more reliable, perhaps post-nerf MoM would be viable in its current state. To be honest, it's very hard to make a free health state feel "fair".

No survivor perk is going to be "Meta" unless it's easily accesible and universally useful against all killers. Current MoM has as much a place in the game as something like No Mither. You'd need to build around it, and even then it'd be situational even in mid-ranks. I just feel like a free health state is unbalanceable as a perk.
