Why do toolboxes exist? 0 sense
They are literally an item which accelerates the only objective survivors have to do to be able to escape. How is that fair and balanced? Can I get, as a killer main, a common/uncommon addon to accelerate the entity progression on hooks, or to remove 1 hook phase from the survivors or something like that?
Why 1 side have an addon to speed up their only objective and the other don't? And don't tell me "killers have moris" because I agree they are unbalanced ASF and they should be removed, but at least they are a lot more rare to obtain. Can we just delete toolboxes or make them a lot more rare to get? Or make them increase the skillchecks size instead of what they do now?

The amount of survivors I've killed when they insist on going back for their precious is ridiculously high.

I assume you know they can be used for sabotaging the hooks as well, which takes them away from their objective. Plus, I can’t count how many times I’ve used a toolbox to boost progress on a gen, only for the killer to come by and kick the gen then chase me, and by the time I can get back to the gen, it’s regressed all my progress down to nothing.

They exist to try to make dull survivor side objectives more interesting and unlike f13 or identity v, devs did not bring guns. Killers hate all items i know. Yet imagine if devs deleted them and made survivor gameplay more boring.
We would see five times as many "why does it take me 20 mins to get into a game as a killer" threads.

Personally I don’t think they are unbalanced and repairing isn’t the only survivor objective.
There is also keeping the killer busy, making sure someone goes to unhook teammates, cleansing totems... all of which don’t use toolboxes.

Look at it this way ... Survivors have no powers, they have flexibility; To give them a chance to defeat all the magic and trickery of the forces of darkness they use technology to combat them. Maps, Keys, Toolboxes and Flashlights are a testament to the adaptability and ingenuity of mankind, and their tenacity to survive despite all that is stacked against them.
But seriously,
Tools are the "Powers" of survivors, its just people who ask for roles and "powers" for survivors forget this. Toolboxes counter killers that slow progression and help to combat killers who are quick to the hook. Medkits help survivors heal and take extra hits to prolong their lifespan, Flash lights (and firecrackers) combat loops and grabs. Maps grant awareness to an otherwise blind team. And keys, keys are weird, besides opening the hatch.
The moment survivors get "powers" is when the tool system will need to be reworked.
I honestly think survivors should get a few new tools.
Toolboxes are fine. Im saying this even though i get gen rushed all the time.
Run Franklins + Ruin if it gets to be too much.

Just focus on killing the ones that carry tootboxes first; equip Franklin's; equip NOED to combat the genrush. Do anything before just come whining at the forums, whining is what survivors do, we are above that.

Actually, not really. Killers whine as much as survivors do (even worse sometimes) and you can even see it on this forum lol. I get to see it post game chat a lot when the killer doesn't get his 4K as well. Even streamers that main killer complaining about almost everything that survivors have, of course not going to mention names.
