I know it's foggy, but I kind of like it.
It gives Freddy a different visual style when playing as/against him, particularly the laugh and sudden transition.
I hope that if they do rework it (remove fog), that they keep its visual flair intact.
I'd also like to see more spooky interactions (like the blood spewed from generators).

Purple Fog add on really makes it hard, for sure.
In the standard DW, it's not too bad, and Freddy Vision lets you easily track people thanks to the glowing outline.

I dont mind the extra fog in the DW, I just wish it was a different color honestly. Like a purple. Be a more interesting visual.
