The Doctor

He's fun to play as but a pain in the ass to go against, especially since they implemented those new, loud, annoying vfx noises when he makes you scream. I had a match recently where the killer was (somewhat) fair. He kept us on our toes and everything but I still feel like his illusions that reveal your location every so often, is very cheap. Completely nullifies any survivor trying to be sneaky to gain an edge on him. (I literally had the 2nd to last generator almost done before he found me, thanks to his cheap clone illusions revealing my location >__<). In the end, he killed 3 of us and I was so glad that at least one survivor escaped via the hatch.

You know those cheap illusions are stationary if you move anywhere besides where you were his tracking becomes litteral [bad word]

    Doctor himself has '4 perks'

Alternate Lullaby: skill check pop random place on screen, harder to hit.

Alternate Deer stalker: dying survivors keep screaming reveal their crawling position.

Alternate any aura reading perks: illusions

Alternate Whisper: he doesnt need Entity whisper to him, but survivors scream for him

Who doesnt know about 'keep moving' when there is illusions? The point is it happens very often. If hes nearby, he can easily find the survivor. Himself already has Shock mode for that job.

I'm pretty sure that without the Restraint addons he can only see them when you are in madness 3. You can also disrupt them by walking throught them and they are often placed in wierd places so they are not that good for tracking.

I agree about the new vfx though, Doc's power was already quite intrusive to the survivor, now it's a bit too much.

I struggle against Doctor because I need to do at least a little stealthing and he passively takes that away. But from what I've seen, as we get better as a survivor, he will be easier to go against. Now I just play really aggro because he's likely gonna find me anyway. It's kinda fun.

Yeah once you're going up against the doctor you pretty much have to abandon stealth for the most part.

As an anti-theft killer there's very little you could do to to avoid detection if you don't have come spirit and even then when is Clones to give him a relative idea where you are

I love when immersed players become aggressive.

Screw the immersed playstyle, have some fun being chased!!!

Calm spirit works to keep you quiet while you move away from the illusions as well.

The best thing you can do is to try to stay in Tier 1 as much as possible. If you get into tier 2, it'll be tough, but tier 1 is better.

I can be stealthy against doc because I know to stay in T1 for as long as you can. Not always possible, but try that as much as you can.
